MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X Voltage fluctuations

Hey guys/gals,

I got myself an MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X, and I obviously got to tweakin' right away on the clocks to see what I can squeeze out of it.

Overvolt (%): 30 (I've tried OVing to 100% voltage still isn't constant)
Power (%): 121
Core Clock: 165
Mem Clock: 250
Fan Profile: Custom

With those numbers above I'm getting anywhere between 2114 MHZ to 2153 MHZ. I've done several passes through Heaven, and multiple rounds of BF1 to test stability, and all of which were stable passes.

My problem though is that the voltage fluctuates and it docks my clocks. My temp doesn't even break 52c during benchmarks or BF1 play so I doubt heat is the issue. I can maintain 2139 MHZ @ 1.075v, and 2153 MHz @ 1.083v, but it never actually stays at those mentioned voltages for long. Instead it settles at about 2114-2120 Mhz @ 1.050v.

Now I know the differences are minute, but I can't figure out for the life of me to make the voltages stick 100% during benching or gaming. I tried forcing constant voltage through MSI's afterburner, and I also tried changing the power management settings to no avail. Any input? Thanks.

Just in case you guys need this by the way here are the system specs:

CPU: i5 4690k @ 4.1 Ghz (Water cooled)
GPU: Already listed
MOBO: MSI Gaming 3
RAM: 16 GB
Power Supply: 650w
x1 SSD x2 HDD

I think a good way to force full 3D performance mode is by enabling K-Boost in EVGA Precision. You don't need to keep Precision running in the background in order to keep K-Boost enabled. You don't even need to keep Precision installed. Once K-Boost is enabled, it's enabled until you disable it in Precision.
