whats your most memorable and favorite all time gaming heroes or characters? tell us with a picture
i will start by my self
my first and most likable hero is the one and only Geralt of Rivia the Wticher
"but then I'll come back and I'll slay every lice-ridden peasant, anything that moves and can't climb a tree. Or you can try to lead honorable lives..."
others i liked too:
Commander Shepard, Mass effect
"Maybe you're right. Maybe we can't win this. But we'll fight you regardless! Just like we did Sovereign. Just like I'm doing now! However insignificant we may be. We will fight! We will sacrifice! And we will find a way! That's what humans do!" - Commander Shepard
Prophet, Crysis
"they call me prophet remember me . . "
Adam Jensen, Deus EX
"Technology offers us strength. Strength enables dominance, and dominance paves the way for abuse."
Ezio Auditore, Revelations
"I have lived my life as best I could, not knowing its purpose, but drawn forward like a moth to a distant moon. And here, at last, I discover a strange truth. That I am only a conduit for a message that eludes my understanding."
Hitman
Venom Snake
War, Darksiders
"You can look me in the eye when I kill you."
Not necessarily a hero due to the amount of role-playing the game offers, but The Nameless One from Planescape: Torment is my all time favorite and highest regarded video game protagonist.
I'm partial to RPGs so I generally favor protagonists (again not necessarily heroes) that aren't set characters and have essentially whatever personality I decide on (so, really good RPGs). After The Nameless One, some of my absolute favorites include the Spirit Eater from Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer (evil, cunning high intelligence manipulative and power seeking playthrough) and "Meetra Surik" which is the canon name for KOTOR 2's protagonist and one of the most fascinating protagonists of any game (and again I favor an evil manipulative but also vengeful playthrough here).
But back to predefined heroes, J.C. Denton is one of my favorite heroes, as is Adam Jensen which you mentioned already.
I of course have to mention Marked One from S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl.
Rhys and Fiona (middle two in the screenshot below) from Tales of the Borderlands are outstanding.
And how about the Child from The Talos Principle?
Worthy mention: Jake Hawkfield from Underhell.

give it some thought, decided to give it to Leliana, Dragon Age : origins.
It was tough for me because i'm mostly drawn to games that let you design your protagonist, DAO, skyrim, etc.
I'm alright giving it to Geralt the witcher but I haven't even finished witcher 1, then I thought well, in dragon age you play not only as "yourself", but also other party members, so they should be treated as heroes as well?
Since DAO is my favorite game, I feel the need to give the title to someone in that game, so there you go, Lelina.
A young and pretty red head who has a past. Now believes in God (the Maker) and tries very hard to be a good person. Kind of shy, like usual girly things such as fashion and stuff. Delusional and borderline crazy at times, but isn't that how all girls are?
Being able to craft your own character's persona to some extent is something I enjoy.
Second-favourite? ez
In most of my BG/BG2 playthroughs Minsc and Boo are my rocks, I can always count on them and they never let me take the easy, expedient way out of a situation. Unless the most expedient solution is chopping up evil like Heston Blumenthal with a Ginsu.
I love characters like Minsc, Jaheira, Garrus, etc. The Samwise sort.
Gaige, from the DLC Mechromancer for Borderlands 2
I know, it's a Borderlands 2 DLC, those characters don't come with as much background as the main ones; plus, the last DLC character was a schizophrenic bandit, fun to hear and play...
But Gaige playstyle IS ANARCHY!!
I still love how she shouts insane things when you shoot blindily in front of you, jumping, swapping your weapons and trying NOT to reload at any cost to save your anarch stacks...
[edit ] Or Jane Shephard, of Geralt : almost cried at the end of ME3, or with all episodes of the Witcher.
