GeForce GTX 7x and 8x mobile GPUs - any good for modern gaming? - Page 2

I don't know if this is the right forum thread to ask this follow up question, but are there any better solutions than Craigslist for locating a good used gaming laptop in the $500 range? E-bay seems like a bad pathway for this type of transaction (too many Nigerian princes!) and local newspaper classifieds simply aren't utilized like this anymore.

I didn't see anything here in the O/C forums that caught my eye (for my price).

(mods, delete or move if this is an infringement Q for this thread).

Thanks!

Check the Notebookreview forums and see what they have to offer too.

Can you not increase your budget at all? Even adding another $100 would free up so many options. Also the difference between the two cards, the 765M and 860M are night and day. The 860M is about 50% faster on average.

The budget is somewhat flexible, but it really comes down to finding the right laptop, I'm fairly stingy but recognize good value comes at a price too.

Mostly, I've learned over the years that eventually someone will post a 'steal' of sale somewhere because they are wanting quick cash to upgrade their current laptop for a newer one (which is why I'm looking at Craigslist) and are motivated to sell. I not really pressed on time yet, so I'm really just in the looking phase.

Thank you for pointing me towards the Notebook Review site, I'll look around there.
