He didn't know how to play the Overclock.net game so his posts got nuked. You can't simply share your product here. The trick is to send free loot to people and have them promote the products for you.

Say what? The reviews here are paid for by free equipment?

Also, why is that not mentioned in the review? there needs to be a forced big fat disclaimer for stuff like that!

Recently a non biased moderator from another Overclock.net section randomly clicked on the mouse section and wondered why the rules weren't being enforced so now the reviews should start requiring a disclaimer about the free products and a [Sponsored] tag in the title like THIS. Why did it take so long? I don't know, maybe PM some of the peripheral moderators who chose not to care. Usually reviewers want to immediately share this disclaimer themselves regardless of the rules in hopes of retaining any form of dignity but that wasn't happening.

In my mind, the sponsored review threads are really just second general discussion thread for a mouse. I prefer the non sponsored general discussion ever since I started browsing through my phone. Sponsored threads have that huge first post that just loads much slower. Even more annoying considering if I ever did read the first post it's not like I'm ever going to read it again. I blame my phone for creating this habit of mine.
