In a new paper published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, researchers from North Carolina State University, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Linyi University, show evidence of original keratin and melanosome preservation in the fossilized remains of Eoconfuciusornis, a crow-sized bird that lived in China some 130 million years ago. It's the oldest fossil ever discovered to still contain traces of these color-giving molecules.
Its not the most in-depth super life changing discovery but still neat.

Let me know when you find one outside planet earth, until then all the fossils are worthless IMHO.
It's quite exciting as you can kind of work out what color a 130million year old bird was. Before they found this nobody had any idea

Nobody will find anything like this outside of this planet in your lifetime either

Thank you for posting the most ignorant statement I have read all week.

We still learn things about our planet every day. The thirst for knowledge, no matter where it is located, is one of the foundations of science.

If they would just hurry up and clone it like in Jurassic Park we could see what color it really was.

This is why we don't permit religious discussions. Cleaned. Let's try this again, and this time, please stay on topic.
