Some of the reasons the 970 Pro Gaming/Aura is great.
Low price
7+1 VRMs that are well cooled
SLI/CF PCIe x8/x8 if you want, or PCIe x16 for one VGA card
Last and least - Cool RGB colors!!

(Note, anyone with tips on how to organize clubs will be welcome. In the meantime, a CPU-Z with the requisite motherboard in it from you is proof enough.)

I purchased this board in Nov. to replace a M5A99x and have enjoyed overclocking and gaming on it very much. Buildzoid on Actually Hardware Overclocking has several live overclocking videos on YouTube with this board. While he dogs on the board a little with his AMD FX-9570(not officially supported) I learned a lot about the settings and what I should expect when overclocking on this board.

Thanks for posting the advise on overclocking videos. You can add our club to your signature if you want. Once we have enough people, I'll start a database and we can become an official club too.
Actually Hardware Overclocking is really good at the technical information too, I wonder if, like me, he has an electronics engineering technician background.
That looks awesome. I also have a 1070, my GPU only has a green LED though, it's a Zotac FE. My RAM is kind of plain, Crucial Value RAM DDR3-1600. I haven't tried to OC my RAM, it probably won't do too well at that and I don't want memory corruption.
I have one, too. I have been using it since the summer.
Has there been a fix for having to set the aura color after each reboot?
Anyone here using an M.2 drive in pcie mode with raid? I have one I tried to use in my intel rig (intel ssd 600) that is supposed to be able to run in pci-e mode, but bios won't see it when I tried to set it up under raid 0. Since it didn't do that in that pc, I thought I might try it in my amd fx rig.

thanks for telling me there a new bios, the bios is there to give better stability mabye aura also become more stabel
I always install lates bios i can alway go back to stock settings or an older bios
Update i installed 0901 and though bios would be reset, but wasn't, speed was the same before my update using ai suite 3 to inatlled dthe downloaded bios, ez update is usles it doesn't find any updat but i used ez update in ai suite 3 to update to the latest downloaded bios
More stability didn't have any problems with the 0801.
Strange ez update didn't find any thing, (the stand alone program that can't manually install bios updates) you can manually install it using ez update in ai suite 3

Darned thing erased all my settings including saved profiles, I tried to restore my overclock settings from memory, but IBT kept failing when before it worked, so I guess I'll have to start again from scratch.
I used as mentioned az update in ai suite 3 and i had my setting after the new bios was installed, but who cares, i mean i can only get it to 4.2 ghz if i want keep it under 61-62c accordimng to ai suite 3 and now core temps adjusted to temps of ai suite 3 (but i cant seem to get offsets right)
Why does it say for a fx 8350 One 2600 MHz 16-bit HyperTransport link when the asus mb only can go as high as 2400mhz, many oc guides also recommending set ring HT Link to 2600mhz

I upgraded to 901 this morning as well. While my aura settings do now stay, I had the same problem with lost OC profile and not being able to get to my previous 4.7 stable settings. I settled for 4.6 as my chip doesn't need quite so much voltage for it.

Link for my validation with Cpu-Z. I haven't touched any of the OC stuff yet but going to be working towards 4.0 and as low of voltage as possible. Still working on figuring out this bios and settings because it is much different in layout than I'm used to. It has also been quite a few years since really delved into anything.
I feel if you game on a new, newer gpu (rx 470x,480x, gtx 970,980,1060) on a high resolution monitor you have to give it atleast above 4.0 ghz
