Quick summary:
- Borderless Windowed Freesync
- Radeon Chill: Dynamic GPU load control based on action. Looks like quite a complex algorithm, and is supposed to be seamless. Supposedly can save 30%~ energy and reduce temperatures.
Quote:
In World of Warcraft on an 8GB Radeon RX 480, Radeon Chill did the following:

Decreased average GPU power consumption by 31%, from 108W to 75W
Decreased average GPU temperature by 13° Celsius
Decreased 99th percentile display time by 51%
Audibly lowered fan noise and speeds
- Radeon Relive: AMD's video and screenshot capture utility
- Radeon Wattman now supported on more cards (Previously on Polaris got it)

A slightly more detailed explanation of Radeon Chill:
Quote:
The Radeon Chill algorithm monitors user inputs in order to determine whether or not quick motion is happening on the screen during a game. If the user is standing still and the display is mostly static, Radeon Chill quickly scales down frame rates to a lower threshold in order to save power. As soon as the user begins moving or interacting with the scene, Radeon Chill responds by instantaneously increasing frame rates to preserve a sense of fluid motion and responsiveness.

Meanwhile, at all times, Radeon Chill avoids running the game at excessively high frame rates that would waste power with little or no end-user benefit.

Because Radeon Chill's responses are very quick, gamers may not notice that anything is happening as they play. The Radeon Chill algorithm has been designed to avoid having any perceptible negative effect on the gaming experience.
Looks like that HiAlgo tech being implemented.

yay bring more stutter and frame rate dips to Radeon GPU's!! brilliant.

Crimson drivers have been good to me so far, here's hopping that these will do just fine also

Clean driver installation option, about time.

Windowed FreeSync support, yay!

Sounds great for 4k@60. Only 2 parts missing from my upgrade plan. Better cfx and .... Good for everyone else for now.

Ok, so now I might not need to invest in a better CPU then? If the Fury can now do 1440p @ 60 recording at QSV level or above, this is gonna be mega.

Windows freesync, radeon chill (surprisingly, both of the former can reduce input-lag according to their testing) and more supported cards for wattman

Woow..has it been a year already. Feels like the last release (Which was Crimson itself i believe) feels like just the other day.

It's honestly about time AMD gets a Shadowplay equivalent.

Looks like a incredible driver update! Can't wait

Hopefully with these fantastic RTG Driver updates, VEGA will have a fantastic execution at launch. Can't wait, very excited!

EDIT:

The part about No registration is pretty funny.

oh shoot, windowed freeSync finally. That was the main reason people justified extra $100 for a g-sync monitor. AMD have been very serious with their drivers in the last year. Game-ready releases and many other improvements.
