My LG 2442 monitor died after 6 years. Just won't power on at all. I'm looking for a replacement and would prefer 1080, accurate colors, around 24" and fast response times
Thanks for the reply. Doubt my 1060 could reach stable 144 fps in the games I play. In not looking to upgrade my GPU for another 8 months or so. Any other recommendations?

You don't have to be able to get 144 FPS with the G2460PG because it has G-SYNC. That's why I'm recommending a monitor that has G-SYNC. G-SYNC is an adaptive sync technology. It gives you the freedom to have nearly any playable framerate without worrying about anything because your refresh rate will be matching your framerate. The only time you would need to worry about achieving 144 FPS with a 144 Hz monitor is if you were looking at a monitor that doesn't have any sort of adaptive sync technology. It's the same thing with 60 Hz monitors: without an adaptive sync technology, you would have to either use V-SYNC or leave it off. With G-SYNC, it doesn't matter. You just play your games and enjoy them.
If you have any games that could go over 144 FPS, then cap their framerate to around 140 so that G-SYNC never disengages. You don't want it disengaging on you while you're playing a game.
