It's a cool product for those that like to theme their builds. Because windows are so popular these days.

I'm close to the half century mark and I like RGB. Not flashing or rainbow colors...but I do like to color coordinate my system.

To each their own.

Agreed. I'm a responsible career woman of thirty years who can still find a bit of simple pleasure in creating a flashy (and I admit, quite tacky) rainbow spectacle. Bonus points for making the SO shake their head and shield their eyes when I start 'er up.

I just love it because now we're finally getting better diffused lighting, like I've mentioned in another post. So parts can be "painted" with light to match your theme. Previous setups from kits to motherboards, etc, are just flashy for the sake of flashy with individual "beads" of light looking like Ed Hardy bedazzled clothes.

It is a nice touch. I'm all for anything that enhances and complements the colour effects rather than flash for the sake of it. Though sometimes I do just enjoy tacky flashing light show mode. :D

Haha, same depending on how I feel. Best part about it is during the holidays. Celebrating Christmas is a lot more fun with an RGB PC. biggrin.gif

Warm glowy things on my already warm DRAM.

That aside, gskill does make quality products, and their warranty service is great. They've always taken a faulty stick and never questioned me once.

Come on Gskill make me some 5ghz sticks.

To each their own.

It seems people don't realize that color spectrum theme isn't a requirement for RGB. My PC for example has a bunch of RGB components set to blue (lighter than your usual blue) and I use covering marquee on Hue+ that alternates between that blue and a very light sky blue.

Yeah, that's what RGB is all about. You can do whatever you want with regards to lighting themes. It doesn't HAVE to be crazy, but it can be.

That's a misinterpretation on your part. There are maaaaaany people who blatantly mean they don't like (pretty much) personalization, or lighting period. Especially at this point, that's RGB and LIGHTING are terms used intergangably
