Running from February 13th-20th, the Folding Forum War is an event that pits various teams against each other to see who are the top folders on OCN.
If you already have your own folding name and passkey, and you are on the OCN folding team, then all you have to do is sign up for Team BOINC and fold away.
If you do not have a folding account you can either make a new account (be sure to fold 10 SMP WU's before the start of the event, so that you will get bonus points)
or you can use the Team BOINC folding account and passkey:
Team Folding name: OCN_BOINC (name is case sensitive)
Passkey: 08b71a6122436bbed672e2c43c7f9d9c
Team Number: 37726
**Note** If you use the team name, you will need to provide proof to qualify for prizes. Check the "How do I win?" section of the main thread here.
I don't do BOINC, can I still join you guys for FFW? Figured since I don't participate in the awesome events you guys do, I could at least try and help by folding on your team for this

Speaking of Linux, I got 2 780Tis on Linux, and 2 980Tis on Windows. However, I was thinking, which would be better/faster for F@H? Logic says the 980Tis, I would think.

The 980tis are much faster than the 780tis. Folding in Linux will give you better PPD than Windows, but even in Windows the 980tis will spank the 780s. If you are running in Linux make sure you are not running the latest NVIDIA drivers (375.26), since they are not compatible with core21 work units. The last drivers that I know for sure work are the 367.xx drivers.
*EDIT* I just saw that a new beta driver was released today (378.09). No mention of a F@H fix. I will test it out tonight, and let everyone know if it works.
I just ordered a rx480....I hope I don't regret it since I only use Gentoo. I was planning on getting Vega so I figured I'd test out a 480 first. I'll be wasting less money if I find out I can't get the 480 working the way I want. If the 480 works then vega would work.

My 480 has been folding in Arch for the past 3 days, so you should be able to get it running in Gentoo.
