This is my build that I worked on during New Years. Currently I am running only 3 case fans, the 140mm and a 120mm in the front. There is a 120mm fan on the AIO for the CPU pulling fresh air into the rad. My issue here is that I am pulling air in, but not doing anything to really exhaust it with fans. I am going for a Red theme, but one of my fans was a blue LED that I need to update with a red once I get my temp issues figured out.

Any recommendations on fan placement in this case? Should I load up with 3 fans in the front?

I had the 250D mini-ITX before this case so I've been out of the ATX scene for a few years.

Hey RyReZar, I think you and I have about tried most of these Corsair cases. I used to have the Air 240 at one point for my main rig, now I have it for my kids PC.

I'm currently using the H75 in the 460X, but I did buy the H100i v2 a few days ago and have not had a chance to install it. I was reading that it should fit at the top. I am using Corsair Vengeance RAM. Once I get it installed, I will report back.

Haha yes you can say that again, had a 250D before the air 240 and a graphite 600t before that, loved them all so far though! Ah good stuff yeah that would be great if you could! I am thinking about going air cooled though, I hear some of the Noctua's can give the H100i a run for its money!

Yeah, now I also recall you in the 250D thread, lol!

What made you move from ITX to ATX or are you using an ITX board in this?

Once I get the 100i installed I'll report back. I hope it fits on the top so I can continue to use the front fans as intakes. I almost went with the H115i, but figured if I change cases again down the road a 280mm rad could be too big with a smaller case.

There are some Noctuas that can really go toe to toe with the H100.

Yes I think I can recall you aswell!

Well after a couple of years or so with a case I like to have a look around and see whats out and when Corsair brought the 460X out, I just looked at the glass and

I dont plan on going ATX but thats my dilemma atm, I either move across my current build with an ITX board or go get new up to date mobo, cpu and ram (as my build is lga1150 with DDR3 I have no choice but to rebuy all unfortunately)

I don't really want to move an ITX board into an ATX case as I think it'll be a waste of space, but a new mobo will be Micro ATX at most.

I plan on buying these components if I do go new:

Asus ROG STRIX Z270G Kaby Lake Micro ATX Gaming Motherboard

Intel Core i5 7600K Unlocked Kaby Lake Desktop Processor/CPU

Dont have pictures yet but i'm putting together my rig this week with a 460x. i'll post some pics in here once its done. i was originally going to get the 570x but after watching hardwarecanucks review of both cases, the 470x is much more thoughtfully laid out and designed. bought the one with the 1 fan last night since i already have 6 very good fans that will be finding a home in the 460x.

btw your rig looks nice captainzombie

My build with the 460X is now all finished! Was quite a nice case to build with, was worried about cable management round the back and the cables protruding from the side panel but the rear steel panel is actually offset from the chassis by a few mm so you have more room than you think.

Did have a issue with trying to plug in all three case fans into my mobo as it only has 2 chassis fan headers but ended up plugging one into the water pump header which is controllable via fan xpert 4 within Asus's Ai suite 3 software. Case overall is very quiet, my Noctua NH-U12S cools the i5-7600K quite well at its stock speed of 4.2Ghz getting about 63-65c average at full load and 30-33c at idle. Which is only a few more degrees higher than what I got with a H100i so happy with that. Also worth noting I have all fans on a fairly low profile so even at full load the fans are never even that audible.

I like the PSU shroud, I personally took out the hard drive cage and used the 2.5" mounts in the rear as I found it just got in the way of the cables I had to put inside the case within that area. Then I come to the look of the case and my god

does it look good, the glass along with the RGB fans looks amazing, and looks a lot better in person. Quite easily the best looking case I've ever used and seen in person myself. If your on the fence about buying this case just go and buy it!

Heres some pics, apologies for the quality of some as it was in the evening and had no natural light:

Awesome build. I like what you have done there. How does the mATX board look in there? Can't quite tell from the pics.

Thanks! It looks good actually, as this is quite a compact ATX case it doesn't look lost or out of place, helps make the build look quite clean I think.

I have just installed another Noctua fan for push/pull and it's dropped temps a few degrees at load, which I'm happy with now get sub 60c at 4.2ghz with a fairly quiet fan profile.

my local computer store had a display rig setup with the 570x rgb

it had the 3 stock rgb fans and a 280 corsair rad with what looked like 2x140mm ML corsair fans (white leds) and it really wasn't all that loud

5 fans in total, no rear exhaust

most of the noise was coming from the 3 front, I was kinda playing with it but the noise is really not that bad

it's not a complete self contained enclosure as it has openings to let air in/out which would account for the extra noise

question for the owners...

how transport friendly is this in terms of construction and durability? is it strong? quality materials? heavy?

interested in this case... again

The front 3 fans aren't that noisy at reasonable speed, I certainly don't notice them while gaming or doing very intensive tasks.

It does feel like a strong and durable case, my only concern when travelling would be the glass, you could remove and transport separately but then your components would be exposed. but the glass doesn't feel weak at all, it is about 4mm thick. It is a fair weight fully loaded, up to you but if I was buying a case for regular transport, I wouldn't buy this. But it is the best looking and overall best case I have owned!

hmmm...
what about once in a while transportation?
I like mid tower size

it has no hdd led indicator which was a minus for me

too early to say now but I wish corsair would make a next version of this after seeing some of the flaws

Really nice, for some odd reason I'm considering this case, I am not a fan of cases with side panels, and I dislike led's on my electronics mainly because my computer rooms are always fully dark and having a beam of light's coming out of a pc case ticks me off.
As for what I'm thinking of doing if I decide to get this is put a window tint on the front glass minimizing the bling and prob on the side as well.
Unsure why I liked this case so much I might be better off with the 400c, but g l a s s
