I'll be anticipating this since the old Logitech style shell seems to be shelved... for now.

Make it smaller and it has to weigh in at 60G maximum, then you'll have all the youngster's here on this forum soiling their pants for it yessir.gif .

the weight is the hard part lol

You can't get 60g without compromising on quality and balance.

Can someone tell me the exact name of the ALPS encoder found in the Roccat Kone Pure? I have the black Amazon Edition Kone Pure, and the wheel feels so great, I need to put that into most of my other mice as well, to be specific in the DM2 Comfy. Thanks!

Edit: Oh and does someone knows the name which is in the Steelseries Raw? That should be an ALPS encoder as well, but it feels much different then in the Roccat.

Wont work, as the encoder alone does not make it great.

You can get it to 60g if they start experimenting with KEVLAR material instead of OLD ABS garbage. Evga had done with one of their first releases and it worked beautifully.

Start using combinations within plastics then you'll see a far tougher housing, then strictly sticking with only ABS which is the cheapest plastic used everywhere.

But to the average consumer a heavier mouse means a higher quality mouse.
