I see what you're saying, but the "internet/forum population" is still dwarfed by the casual crowd when it comes to actual sales. e.g. "12K DPI" got more units off the shelf than any mention of "no smoothing" ever did.

Well it isn't of course, but I see Logitech as the direct competitor of ROCCAT since their drivers have tons of settings, both have Shift feature, and their mice are of the best build quality in the market.
Though obviously, ROCCAT needs better marketing... I think most people haven't even heard of ROCCAT, which is a shame.

Look, we are like the only people talking about ROCCAT's new mice. -_-

In Germany Roccat is a well known Brand , but I think some older Gamers know the "fiasko" of the 1st Kone wink.gif ...
and the marketing isnt aggressiv as of other Brands ...
Me for myself can say that the Kone Pure series is one of the best build mice I know ...
Edit :
excuse my english , Im drunken biggrin.gif

I take it you don't remember the "fairy tales" section of the Roccat website circa 07-08'? However that's long gone and that approach was abandoned. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Supposedly the marketing tough guy who came up with the idea went on to graduate at the top of his class in the navy seals. The more you know.

Well if the KP is simply a smaller, lighter EMP with same build quality and no tilt wheel - then you all have something to look forward to (those who like the KP that is)

So it's May now? rolleyes.gifredface.gif

I hope I can wait.. Might pick up a G403 in the meantime, my EC2-A died 2 months ago... Using an old Roccat Savu but the shape does not agree with my hand

The name of the mouse has changed from Kone Pure 2017 to Kone Pure

I noticed the extremely minor difference in the length of the mouse measurements. If it's anything substantial in feel I may pick one up. The KPM up short for comfortable length for my use by a few mm.
