unfortunately this is/was common practise :-/ it's a shame when it's the only thing that's wrong with a mouse, that such a small thing actually wrecks the longevity of it

Luckily it requires only, like, hands to fix.

what's your point?
Shouldn't be punished too hard as its a popular design found in mice and is easily fixed. That's if you thought I'm assaulting anyone's abilities.

This mouse probably is going to be closest to "god mouse" status compared to all other mice.

well i said it's a shame, not that it's a disgrace. imo the design should be improved, it should not be a/my problem.
(that it's fixable is not an argument to that they should not improve/fix it.)
they're improving coatings for longer life, stronger cables to reduce the risk of connectivity issues, switches with higher ratings.. this might as well be on the list to be improved as well.

i guess you misunderstood my initial post, i was only agreeing with you on that they/roccat should improve the design.

And also voids warranty.

It's illegal for warranties to be voided by repair work that does not introduce new problems in the USA.

The problem with that is at this point it might as well be a theoretical concept. Unless an agency like the FTC wants to make a prominent example or some case gets brought forward and carried through (not settled) it's probably going to be rather challenging for any individual to practically challenge such a denial (eg. effort for <$100 or possibly a few hundred dollar product).

I think KonePure17 is a more sick name. Lets people know its the new one and looks sporty

Still waiting patiently on this thing
