Just don't trust were you lot are heading, all the secrecy on another product line and I won't be spending a cent till I see Ino's review here and stop including the EMP, because it's not a real Roccat mouse, like the previous version models. Imagine going backwards in trying to fool people into believing, that another sub-par scroll wheel encoder is what every gamer wants these days?

Kone+, Kone XTD and Kone EMP use a TTC encoder. The line featured so far a 4d wheel with tilt functionality and ALPS EC10E series does not support that.

So basically since 2010 it has been consistently a TTC encoder in the line - and its highly praised for 7 years. I dont get why you would try to spin that into "fool people".

Why is the EMP not a real Roccat mouse? Thats kind of a strange statement.

I know how an average TTC srollwheel feels like and it was NEVER installed in the Kone Pure range hence I loved buying and using them.

The previous XTD model with the 9800 laser sensor had an ALPs scroll wheel so watch what you're saying here. Try NOT to embarrass yourself with what Roccat had used in their previous model lines.

If a Roccat mouse isn't using an authentic ALPs scroll wheel encoder, then it's like any Razer or various other Yum-Cha mouse manufacturers out there already.

Even the humble but ancient Savu, has an ALPs encoder, not bad price tag plus a robust and long lasting body, a very decent product using an above average scroll wheel encoder whilst their latest mouse gear, is using cheapo TTC hardware, what the hell?

Using Razer-like sub-optimal scroller, that isn't high performance in any language, let alone placing them into any permanent Gaming category.

I can feel your ALPS preference, but the Kone XTD used TTC and your statement that it used ALPS is simply untrue.

Here pictures form Tweaktown: http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/5659/roccat-kone-xtd-max-customization-gaming-mouse-review/index6.html

Only the ROCCAT 2D models (without tilt) use ALPS. This is related to the difference between PCBA mounted and not-PCBA mounted encoders and is not related to some evil scheme to save money on components to cheat you out of your beloved ALPS encoder.

I am not aware that anybody else uses this specific TTC encoder, there are worlds of differences among them - I am not even surprised you thought the Kone XTD has ALPS, the difference is not so easily noticeable.

Maybe you should click the link first before you reply. The guy you answered to, asked for the coating and you asked for Ino's opinion on that. He already tested the big brother Kone EMP which has the same coating. That's why I quoted Ino on that with the link provided to the whole review.

And why would we avoid Ino? You can be sure that he is the first one who will get a Kone Pure Owl-Eye. And when did we dodge questions here? We openly talked about what switches (50M Omron's) and which mouse wheel encoder (ALPS Encoder of the KPM) we will use for the new Kone Pure.

Yet still NO official Ino review of said product, the Roccat Kone Pure 2017 wave2.gif .

What is so strange in asking that question of when, will that review take place here?

I NEVER believe a single word coming out of any Company Spruiker, until you have the actual product in front of you and it's opened up to visually CONFIRM any of your claimed statements on hardware used. Sorry but that is were we live now, fake news being so prominent that we all like to see the real deal here instead of any smoke and mirror claims.

You seem to have anger issues, that is not healthy bro.

Also why spew hate towards companies that actually are on this forum?
Is it better they all leave so we have zero interaction with any company?

Think before you just spew hate lol.

The mouse isn't even out yet and this guy is complaining about the lack of a review?

A grown up asks these questions regardless of any threats upon themselves from the likes of you and your ilk, hence that is why I will ALWAYS hound Roccat Studios to provide answers, because if you accept the lies and subterfuge than you will always accept that in your daily existence.

Never start praising any Company when it takes short cuts with design and manufacturing because you will become that poor deluded sap, buying their end product.

No one here wants to become another mindless fanboy never interested in finding out why they (Roccat) went with something sub standard, instead of choosing something unique and has true longevity.

Remember in the end, if Company's aren't forced to choose the RIGHT products to make and sell, then it's WE the customer that finally ignore them and buy elsewhere. That is why Roccat Studios is here on OCN, they want to know what we are wanting here and it's every Mouse Users end goal to let them (Roccat) know the absolute TRUTH, about the type of gear every OCNer want's in their mouse.

It looks like you want junk gear for yourself but please, don't lump me in with your deluded group of fanboys willing to accept and buy anything produced by Roccat Studio's.

Any comment on who is embarrassing himself with wrong claims over the Kone XTD using an ALPS encoder? biggrin.gif Yeah, i thought so.

So, The previous famous kone pure was the military version and it was abbreviated as KPM
What name should we give this new one?
Kone Pure OWl Eye (KPO) is taken by Kone Pure Optical
That leaves us with Kone Pure Owl Eye (KPE)
What do you guys think?
