Roccat Kone Pure Owl-Eye (2017) - 3361 - 88g - Page 80

Got mine yesterday. M1 and M2 feel slightly stiffer than my KPM for me. It isn't a deal breaker though as my KPM was spinning out.

Does M1 and M2 (on the 2017) feel and sound slightly different to anyone else? My M2 sounds a bit hollow compared to the M1. Both sound a bit more like the switches in my Zowie mice than my KPM. I can't really fault the M2 performance, it's just slightly weird the sounds don't match. Perhaps something intentional?

The EMP is like this too. The clicks sound a bit strange and the sound is different than other mice but the feel is good so there is nothing to be concerned about. M1 and M2 definitely sound different.

How thick is the braided cable, is it the size of Logitech's G Pro/303 or thinner like Razer's DA Chroma? I was thinking of getting a free Razer Mouse Bungee, but I'm not sure if it'll fit as I heard Logitech cables don't fit.

I'm personally glad the left and right clicks are a little more stiff than my current Logitech mice as I'm always accidentally hitting right click on my G Pro when I lift my mouse and put it down. That's my main reason for wanting to try this mouse out.

It is a tad thicker than the DA elite cable but has a very similar feel texture and flexibility. It's much thinner and more flexible than the G Pro cable.

It's way heavier than the DA:E cable. It's fine on the overweight brick EMP, but not on the Pure - imo ofc.
For people who never tried a paracord cable most stock cable are totally fine...

Taking the G403 as an example since it's what I currently use, there is no way my ring finger will touch the RMB.

It looks like it'd be the same for the kone if the top shell carried on as a straight line instead of sticking out the way it does. I don't use photoshop otherwise I'd show what would look better.

EDIT: My best paint attempt to show what I'd personally prefer. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Had the same problem with original Kone.
My ring finger was often caught in that space between right mousebutton and the body during rightclicking. Also sometimes I accidentaly right-clicked by dragging my ringfinger down the side...
Had to ditch the mouse after a few days because of it, even i though i liked everything else (except the cable).
Dlano's images clearly show the problem. On the most mice the button edges end on top of the mouse, on pure they end on the same level as the body.
Too bad it's not fixed in 2017, would have been an insta-buy for me

Not sure if I am trying the Owl after all, been using the KPM again for 1 week now, I guess I prefer Ambidextrous mice much more after all.
The right lip is fine for me, I always rest my ringfinger at the end of M2, on all my mice, never in the way tbh.
Ofc it is hard to compare since KPMs sensor feel so slow/weird compared to the 336x I am so used to now.

Maybe I will try it if 1 store get it in stock, they have free returns + free shipping.
The only store here that got it in stock you need to pay for 2x shipping.

Same on mine, cant say that it is bad but they feel abit different from eachother and also the sound is different when pressed
