The new boards looks insane, amazing! Beautiful.

Sad part is you don't do sponsorships

So in my case it will be MSI's new M7 board

All brands make "OK" ATX boards, but Asus is definitely a clear winner when it comes down to ITX and M-atx boards, they have no competition at all.

That's the thing, you keep holding on to one guy. You don't give anyone else the chance... There are more talented people out there if you (as a company) just cared to look

Although, a big applause to the design team of Asus! They sure do know what they are doing! Look at the past 5-6 years compared to this, I can't even imagine what the years after 2020 can give us

Thanks for the feedback.

You'd need to talk to ASUS Sweden, as sponsorship is regional, not international. Not a region I cover

Looks like a great line up of boards, with some real innovation at places I think. Particularly interesting to see that U.2 port seems dead, in favour for M.2.

As to the big question... will there be an Impact board? And is Gryphon abandoned? I liked the more earthy look of the previous TUF boards, as well.

No Impact planned or Gryphon at this point.

I really like the Extreme board myself
Do you have release dates for any of these boards?
Apex looking like 15th Jan. Extreme probably after Chinese New Year.

Edit:- Like Menthol said, a date would help.

I'll probably have the OC guide up in a couple of weeks. CES duties this week.

What is the mentality behind the odd shape to the Apex? And that daughter board for the M2s?

Also, any chance you sent one over to EK or BP to do a VRM block?

If you read the article, it's explained in there.

EK, I will have to ask about. Usually, we co-work with them on most boards, so they will likely do it if they see enough demand.

oh yeah - the apex looks really cool! nice cut outs for wire routing. Any thought ever given to cable connectors on the back side of a PCB? (yeah - standoffs will need to be a bit taller

) The Extreme tho .. creme dl la creme!

So the cut outs are for Aura lighting to shine through, and the Dimm.2 is so we can waterblock the M2s with existing DDR3 Waterblocks....

SLICK!

Cheaper than the Extreme as well. You win my money for another generation ASUS!

Thanks for the thread Raja!

@Raja@ASUS, since you are good friends with this Apex....what is your favorite memory kit thus far? I am going to need a new one since I am going down from 4 sticks to 2, but want to keep 32GB.

Ugh, well Im running the GSkill kits. I have the Trident Z 32GB DDR4-3600, and the 16GB DDR4-4266 kits. You don't need something that high-end, though.

Thanks for that. I am downgrading from HEDT at DDR4 launch prices, so those kits price tags dont really scare me much considering almost double speed and same capacity for the same money.

Aside from that guide posted, is there a product page for the Apex or Extreme? I'm currently running a 4770k with a Z87 Deluxe v1 board and looking to make the jump with the 7700k. I'm trying to decide on a new ASUS board to run and have been eyeing the Maximus IX Formula. I've not used the Aura system before so I'm looking forward to playing around with that. I currently don't do water cooling aside from my hybrid video cards and Corsair H110, but I might do it again in the future. Also need to figure out what memory to purchase for this new beast. Any thoughts on my choices?
