That's not how it works. They cost £700-900 here in the UK and good luck to the person spending £600 on a product delivered from an overseas country and an obscure site and all the dangers that brings with warranty. I would never do it.

What? wth.gif

That's a brand new 1080ti located available in the UK in a legitimate store for 640 pounds that I linked? How is that not a valid purchase for someone in the UK?

And how are brand new products sold from proper retailers in Europe an issue? I've bought quite a few things from the UK, was never an issue, why would it be an issue the other way around?

I'm getting pretty tired of the "The store around the corner is selling product-X for Y-amount over MSRP therefore company-X must be price gauging in my country!!!!!!! mad.gif " argument.

What's happening is your local retailers that are price gauging, you just have to find retailers that aren't and that's your own responsibility. Whining about it isn't going to help anything, there are plenty of tools to find the lowest prices for products in your country, use them.

EDIT: Oops my fist link might technically not have been in the UK, just a EU supplier that has official support in the UK and Ships to the UK, which should be fine, but if you insist on being difficult:

Here's a NEW and UNOPENED PALIT GeForce GTX 1080 TI Founders Edition, sold by Amazon UK, not a third party, for 650 pounds.

Many tasks = Synthetic benchmarks?
Even i7-7700K beats 1800X in many commonly used programs and especially games. Most people don't run CineBench all day.

6900K is overpriced, we all know that. And that is why AMD compared Ryzen 7 with it.
AMD cherrypicked benchmarks/programs and games where Ryzen did good, so it looked impressive.
It's called marketing. But in reality, even i7-7700K beats these CPU's in many programs and games.

Ryzen can be good - and even great - in specific workloads, but overall it's hit and miss. Which is the problem. AMD could not have charged more. Not considering the OC limitation. If just Ryzen was able to hit 4.5+, It would be a different talk. Maybe down the line, or after a refresh.

Are we going to see Vega gpus named as a 590-590X ? Or in Fury series ? I think both of them possible.

I personally hope Vega 10 is Fury line only, and then Vega 20 on 7nm turns into the 600 series around the same time that Volta, a.k.a 2000 series releases with HBM2 or GDDR6. This way Vega 20 can come before the next Fury refresh on 7nm.

I will be surprised if Volta on 12nm could beat anything Vega on the 7nm process, not after a years worth of drivers and development for it.

This is also one of the many reasons why some believe Vega may be stronger than we all think. If Vega truly is another revolutionary 8800 GTX moment in the history of GPU tech, then you would surely want to start that new revolution with its own name. Naming it 590, or something else would be a tragedy for a revolutionary GPU.

They've already said VEGA cards are named AMD VEGA.  It's been announced months ago.

Doubtful. Vega will most likely be Vega like Raja originally said. Personally, I suspect that RTG is trying to do away with the Rx x90 and x90X branding in favor of going up to x80 probably attempting to keep the mainstream naming scheme somewhat similar to Nvidia's. Not as a ploy as far as marketing performance, but probably to simplify the naming. Not unlike the move to R3, R5, and R7 CPUs.
