The 980 was always a questionable purchase imho. It seemed very underwhelming particularly at its released price.

he said it is something he wants because amd doesnt have it. he asked a valid question why he wants it because there is afaik only shadow warrior 2 that uses it and its not even that great.

this crappy feature should not be a deciding factor.

rolleyes.gif So is that a no?

Person A says they want a card for X tech. I ask very reasonably if anything is using that tech and you respond "well competitor B has unused tech too"

Your point would be relevant if someone said they wanted an AMD card for a particular tech feature of an AMD card that no developers were using. I don't doubt that there are features unused by both companies, but if it isn't a feature that someone says is a deciding factor for them, who cares?

Alternatively IF some developers for upcoming titles have/had announced they will be supporting it or if there a title that supports that is really important to that person it I could see it being relevant. (ie I knew a guy who only ever played flight sims. If a flight sim supported that feature I could easily see him making the case that that would be a pertinent feature.)

I'm making a reasonable claim that AMD is no different.

Now write a few paragraphs to refute my point.

If up to 2x performance in VR is "crap", then what is AMD?

If nothing supports it, it's actually up to 1x performance.

Being obtuse does not a point make; at least not about the argument.

Did anyone say they were? Someone said it was a selling point, someone else questioned that assertion, reasonably.
