The chip is a potato. The set voltage is what it requires to maintain stability. LLC setting is 5. Vcore set at 1.4 in bios.

Tbh I have backed down to 4.9 which requires 1.33v in bios and llc setting 4. Voltage peaks at 1.36 under heavy load in Hwinfo.

2. Not all l39 are same , my first L39 max would go to 4900 with high volts and temps.

I can tell you if you came to my location we'd do it for you so long as it wasn't super busy. We do it all the time.

Ok so for *****s and giggles I came home from work this morning
opened up my bios and change 3 things...
set the multiplier to 52, cache to 45 and voltage to 1.35... and got this...
Validation

need to stress it to see if its stable... but wonder how much i can dial back on the voltage... and or push the multiplier.....

have very little overclocking experience but just wondering if this is pretty standard for kaby lakes...

i was able to get 5ghz around there (7600k) first try.. but real stability testing showed it was no good

Try Realbench and or OCCT both are good stability tests.

I'll post results later

ran realbench and had a successful test running at 5.1ghz using 1.35v here is the validation....
I hit a high temp of 89% using a NZXT X52 and no delid....
