Hi guys!

Recently I bought new components and builded a computer myself:

-I7 6850k
-Corsair Dominator Platinium DDR4 3000mhz
-Asus rampage V edition 10
-Corsaix AX1200i
-M2 500GB
-Corsair Obsidian 900d

And I really wanted to watercool this beast (CPU, GPU, RAM) for 2 reasons: to compare how far I can push this computer compared to air cooling and to get this nice look with tubing and stuff. I'm not gonna lie, I'm watching the singularity computers channel on youtube and I'm dreaming of it in the night.

My problem is the following; I bought this GPU: Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming (http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=6033#kf)

I was watching to order the second one to get that sweet SLI and God damnit I realised I couldn't find a single waterblock that goes on this damn card! I would be so glad if someone knew where to buy a waterblock that is compatible with this card or if someone tested another waterblock (gigabyte gaming G1 for exemple) on this card. Oh sweet 1784mhz stock for 100 bucks less than this Asus Strix, why did I fall for you?!?

Ps: Yeah I know I'm a moron on this one, should have checked before...

I came here to ask the same thing, looking to get another GTX 1080 Xtreme and need to find some waterblocks for them.

I don't want to have to drop more money on two cards that have compatible waterblocks..

I may have to just pair my current Windforce 1080 Xtreme with a Waterforce 1080 Xtreme..

Edit:
There is this from Alphacool, but I'm not sure how I feel about a non-full-coverage waterblock.

The Windforce on the Xtreme cards are pretty damn good at keeping the card cool under load, but obviously running two right next to each other will mean more heat.

Hi friends, after a whole week of intense searching and tears I guess I may have found something from Bytsky the chinese manufacturer. They say their waterblock is compatible with the Gigabyte gtx 1080 xtreme gaming. I will order one this week and will hopefully get it in 1 week or something. I'll tell you if it fits (it should). Here you got the link:

https://www.amazon.com/NhoweVGA-Cooling-N-GV1080XT-X-Gigabyte-GTX1080XTREME/dp/B01LANTRFY#Ask

I'll write again when I tried the WB on the card ;-)

Hi Subzero!

I couldn't build the watercooling right away because my build was already fairly expensive so I just got "the base" and would installe the watercooling 2 month later or something. This why I got Air cooled gpu and then install a waterblock on them rather than buy the gpu with a preinstalled waterblock and wait to get my whole build assembled before playing.

Concerning gigabyte waterblock I already wrote a ticket to their support to ask il they sell only the waterblock 10 days ago. They didn't answer yet...

I would give them a call at the customer support center.

My bad they gave an answer today:

Question:

Hi, I recently bought your gigabyte gtx 1080 xtreme gaming 8g (26.12.2016). I want to watercool my card but I can't find a waterblock that fits on it by the main retailers like EKWB; Coolermaster; Alphacool... I saw that you made a factory Waterblock for this card: The Waterforce version. My question is the following: is this possible to get only the factory waterblock without the card? Or can you give me an hint on how to join the company that makes these waterblocks? I'm stucked with these cards I can't watercool and I would be so happy if you can help me!

Thank you in advance for your answer 1/11/2017 12:11 PM

Answer:

Dear ...,

Thank you for your kindly mail and inquiry. About the issue you mentioned, if you change / add / remove any components for graphics card. This will void the entire warranty of the product. Meanwhile, we do not sell components separately.

Regards,
GIGABYTE

I'm a little inexperienced with custom loops but taking the air cooler off the card shouldn't void the warranty. That's like i took the heat sink and fan off my cpu. Really how would they know unless you bought blocks from them and it was on record. My cousin has a 1080 same card as your it oc's to 2150 with the aircooler and heatsink. I'm going to call them when they open ill report back with my findings. Its there fing block anyways why would they not want to sell there own product kinda ******ed if ask me.

Yeah the pcb is really different from other cards

Gigabyte Geforce Gtx 1080 xtreme gaming:

Gigabyte Geforce Gtx 1080 G1:

Just seeing the two cards you understand why the block from the G1 can't fit on the xtreme...

The xtreme version has 2 hdmis in the back 2x 8 pin power input and vram and these grey / blue capacitors that are also in a weird position. On the wb i sent there is a space that seems to fit these capacitors drilled in the acrylic part. See red circles on the pictures.

Waterblock from Bytski:

Anyway when I got the watercooling loop running I'll send some results temps, max oc, ..., I learned to never trust chinese products overtime.

Hi Peter you can order them on aliexpress.com also. The reference of the product is N-GV1080XT-X. But I guess it's coming from China anyway... Hope you can find a better deal

I finally ordered 2 blocks yesterday. It takes 20 days to arrive from China +/-. Will send pics when I try them on my GPUS

Yeah, but you know the waterforce version of this card has a factory made WB... And gigabyte really changed the pcb configuration... Then if you're a market analyst you realise that in the little watercooling market the ammount of people that will buy a block for this specific card will be very tiny. But anyway, a nice chinese brand made us happy lol! Tell me when you get the WB if it fits!
