ASUS RT68U GUI not loading

Thread Starter
Hi I have an issue with my router. I installed DDWRT on it and tried to do a 30-30-30 reset. But after I did the 30-30-30 reset I can no longer log into the webGUI. I tried holding the reset button and a few other things I searched on Google such as holding the WPS button. I was finally able to get into the webgui only when I set up a static IP address on my computer. Then I can go into the 192.168.1.1. But once I click assign auto IP on the IPv4, I can no longer go into the webGUI anymore. What is the issue? Did I brick the router somehow? This all started when I tried to do the 30-30-30 reset. Also not sure if it matters but I have the Tmobile version which is the same as the ASUS RT68U

Back when I had my RT-N16 I was always messing around with firmware- Tomato, DDWRT, etc... Once or twice I really messed up my router and thought I was screwed. But no, you should be fine.

Put it in rescue mode (IIRC you have the router unplugged, and then you hold the reset button while you plug in the power) and use the Asus Firmware Restoration Utility to restore back to factory firmware. Then I highly recommend Tomato by Shibby, you can use the K26ARM builds found here (as long as you don't have HW RevC1). If you want to stick with DDWRT read this thread
