Ehh...

Digging up the earth, transporting raw materials all over the world, bathing them in a slew of exotic chemicals and then delivering the result to your doorstep also harms the environment.

Most of the time, for most things NOT consuming more comes out ahead.

My thoughts exactly, not consuming more electricity causes less harm.

An 8350 is not "choking" if one core is pegged at 100% - it's just not being utilized to it's full potential. This does not cause stuttering issues, or resource issues as you would see on a a cpu that is pegged at 100% on all threads. Go play BF1 64 playter on a dual core pentium and then play it on a much 'slower' quad core 880k. Or don't. I don't care, I've done it and saw the results. That is the very definition of a cpu choking in games.

You've been on this site since 2010 and this somehow eludes you?

But then again you bought a locked Skylake i3 and paired it with a z170. I mean you spent more on that board than your cpu and your cpu can't even take advantage of the chipset properly for that matter. Don't even get me started on the fact that your location is out of Pokemon... What would one expect out of a child who made bad purchase decisions?

No need to explain yourself over and over.

You're wasting your time, he doesn't care to understand and just wants to argue that Intel are bettur and that he's getting higher effffpeeeeeeeesssssss just because of his CPU. He's welcome to his tiny little world, I've wasted enough time arguing with him just to be brought down to his level and beaten by his extensive experience.

This is an amazing chip if priced at $120-30. Very niche at $180 IMO.

I wonder if Zen will force intel to change up their pricing? Ultimately Zen has to be a threat, but even then I suspect intel's great performance track record will just carry them through. Man 2017 is going to be great for me. I love CPU's lol!

Zen is forcing them to change their pricing, they also made Intel release Pentiums with hyper-threading enabled, I don't know if they are locked or unlocked, but I'm sure one could find a motherboard which overclocks them.
