Concept idea. Would it work?

Thread Starter
The way my server is mounted behind my tv and the case it's in leaves little room for expansion. At the moment I have a 2tb usb 3 drive plugged in and velcroed to the wall. I want to add more storage and make it redundant but don't want to change the
case the server is in (can only hold 2 2.5 drives. I like the idea of zfs and am wondering if I was to put a usb 3.0 hub in the back, velcroed to the wall like the drives, and stick 3 4tb usb 3.0 drives on the wall, as well as the 2tb i already have could i use zfs with those drives over the usb 3.0 bus?

This is not for speed or anything, just redundant zfs capable large storage. Also this is for media storage and network sharing. No nfs mounted /homes or regular writes, mostly reads.

It's a bit of a waste (money, speed) but it should work.
