1080 Ti Water Block question - Page 22

delays."
Yet they cannot handle the orders they have now so how can they even state on the site that ordering it wont cause major shipping delays, doesn't really make any sense. I just would like an update on arrival time really and actually know that it will be done on that date because i'm in the middle of a build and i can not do anything without those waterblocks so now i'm stuck waiting on any type of information so i can plan around it or something. .......
*Update*
I appantly the post i wrote yesterday which is above writen above here did not go through but since then i have recieved a email from EKWB reguarding the status of the waterblocks and the what is going on is the same thing that was said in mindering post, that they have recently moved locations and changed logistics programming

The SC is based on a reference design but has a DVI connector. So, the Titan X Pascal block is the one compatible with it. thumb.gif

Both screw holes along the inlet cracked with one screw turn when attaching the terminal. I'm pretty sure I didn't overtighten it, I just brought it flush with the block but I suppose it's possible. If so it's pretty fragile. I ordered a new one though and am going to have my engineer friend look at it when we set it up.

You know if enough of the FC1080TI blocks used in SLI with your Terminal are cracking it goes from being a case of user error to a design flaw.

Damn, I'm sorry that happend to you.
I just received conformation my two ek blocks got shipped today and will receive them in two days, and my terminal should be here today. Now I am a little worried about installing them, how tight did you screw them in?
Is there a point you would suggest i should stop at and try a leak test, like maybe as soon as they make contact do a quarter turn more or something and try it?
I also had to get the triple fc parallel terminal in order for it to reach my to waterblocks because they are 80mm away so i had to get the parallel cover for it to block one of the openings in the middle.

I think you'll be ok with what they ship you. Its the install that's tricky. I know for a fact that EK didn't ship me the plexi wb with a crack already in it. When it did crack it made a very loud noise as I was turning the hex bolt.

If your worried the best thing I can suggest is having a very lite touch with the hex bolts that attach to the plexi block itself, and that you stop turning as soon as you get close to flush with the block and then leak test. Also be careful installing the screws where the boards attach to the case as that can put pressure on the block and terminal as well. Lastly don't connect your HB bridge until your almost done and be careful of moving the cards around when you do that.

I confess that EK did ship me 2 dented name plates but I wasn't going to use them anyway (I have the same problem you had with the parallel terminal getting in the way) and I pretty much had insist EK not bother sending me replacements. I'd be willing to bet that this latest set of cards they are shipping doesn't have the same problem.

Also for the record EK is helping me out the cracked plexi and are shipping me a new plexi to replace the cracked one at a cost of 20 euro + shipping and handling (both Igor and Aleš from EK were awesome in their communications with me on the issue's I've run into). I'd definitely buy their products again.

Oh and if you'd rather there are these 3 slot dual terminals where you wouldn't need a cover:

They won't fit on it's board.

Thank you for the correction Akira, I was confusing the double 3 slot which I was using and his triple.

P.S. I guess my other post is waiting for the mods to ok it, but please thank Ales and Igor for the great support from EK. EK resolved all of my issues to my satisfaction.

I appreciate it, i just received my ek ram waterblock along with my terminal and my 1080ti blocks should be here tomorrow so i will just take my time with it and see how it goes. I really do love there waterblocks, i just honestly wish i would have went with there cpu block instead of the another brand but, i may change eventually. I had already had purchased 2 1070 blocks and used and they were awesome so i expect these should be better seeing as i can use the nvidia HB bridge with it, although i do hate that i wont be using the nameplate either. I think using the terminal with all acrylic it just would not look right with that over top of them.
One question is tho is if i use the triple terminal will i still be able to use the hb bridge?
