1080 Ti Water Block question - Page 23

So I have a question. How are we supposed to use the M2.5×7 AX1 to install the ekwb 1080ti backplate when there are no screws provided with the backplate, only thing that comes in the box is two thermal pads and the backplate. In the 1080ti waterblock it comes with the following
So I was able to get all but three in using the m2.5×6 and used the m.2×8 for two of the 3 so now I'm stuck with one that I can not get screwed in properly.
So my question is what do I do? Also why were the appropriate screws provided?

OK. I found this one.

It doesn't show what is on the front edge of the block though. I dont want a water block that says Titan when I have a 1080Ti. Sorry, but OCD. Same with the back plate. Will the OEM back plate still work?

Hello,

I saw that there were some packing problems with the 1080ti waterblocks and some were getting damaged from the single slot PCIe bracket. The terminal shroud was dented.

Has this been addressed with the ones being sold from EK?

I want to order one soon, but don't want to have to worry about the shroud being bent in shipment.

Thank you!

There's a compartment in the bottom of the box that has the screws. Hope you didn't throw the box away.

Ahh, I stand corrected. Thank you very much, you just saved me a lot of headache. I have owned multiple blocks but I guess I forgot about that little compartment lol

One other thing, am I supposed to install some plastic washers between the backplate and the card, like I did screwing the waterblock on?

No washers for the backplate. the backplate itself acts as a washer.

The front edge, yes. The EK web site does not show it.
