Are you guys going to do anything about the giant obnoxious raised logos on your mousepads? I have the Taito contorl and the logo is ridiculous and makes the whole corner of the pad unusable. It would be my main pad if it wasn't for the stupid logo that messes up your tracking if you get the mouse over it and sticks to your arm because it's some rubbery print stuff on top of the pad surface. Seriously guys... Make a plain black pad with a little 1 inch square roccat logo in the corner or something.

Will forward it to our design team. Thanks for sharing.

Today I've had the opportunity to hold the EMP in my hand. It's definitely a well-built, sturdy and quality feeling mouse. Clicks are very good (albeit not quite Logitech level), side buttons are nice and the scroll wheel is fantastic. Although it is certainly on the larger and heavier side it's one of the lightest feeling heavy mice I've held in my hand so far (if that makes any sense). I've also tested a Steelseries Rival 300 which felt terrible by comparison (hollow clicks and cheap thin plastic shell). I'm looking forward to the Kone Pure 2017 and future Roccat releases.

I think there's a bug with the macro manager regarding the "wheel up" and "wheel down" mouse events

I've tried to make simple macros that simulate multiple wheel down/up actions in a row, but none of them work

"wheel down" actually does a wheel click, "wheel up" doesn't seem do anything as far as I can tell

Can anybody give it a try to confirm/rule out a bug ?

That's not surprising. The software for the Kone XTD Optical never did anything I told it to. I ended up using something called "X-mouse button control" and then I switched to AutoHotKey.

Thoughts on the coating from someone who's hands sweat a lot very quickly - Zowie's current coating is better than the EMP's for me. It just sticks to my hand and never lets go. To put it into perspective I think Zowie's coating is the best there is right now.

The sensor feels amazing though - very "natural" and responsive like an MLT-04. Flicks seemed to a lot more accurate and snappy, even though the bigger shape of this mouse gives me a lot less control.

Additionally some thoughts on the shape. (I used claw grip and have 20 - 21 x 10 - 11cm hands) I think the Kone shape would be so, so much better and safe if the thumb groove went all the way through instead of beginning at one specific point and cutting into your thumb like it does - it allows more grips to be used. I think what makes more successful mice better is the fact that they have more subtle curves and flatter sides. This mouse real isn't for me because of the thumb grooves, it makes claw gripping hell. You should be the one who grips the mouse - not the mouse moving your hand and fingers around.

My first impressions of this mouse are amazing. I've been battling to find a large mouse that fit the contours of my hand in palm grip (I gave up on finding a good claw grip mouse for large hands ages ago), and have tried almost every large mouse with a decent sensor on the market. The Rival 300, Finalmouse Ergo, EC1-A, ZA11, G502, G403, G400s, all of them. All with some major gripes with the shape, being too narrow or too short or too heavy, or just not grippable enough. For the record, my hand is 21-22cm long.

Right off the bat this mouse fits my hand near perfectly. I do agree with a prior comment with regards to the thumb groove being a bit too outward-jutting with the curve at the back of it, but it's more of a problem if you use a claw grip. There's tons of space on the right side for my last two fingers, and the mouse feels quite tall, allowing my fingers to not have to brush the mousepad as they do do with most other mice. The mouse, being quite wide towards the back, fills the back of the hand as well, allowing for less tension and more stability than I'm used to *yay*. I also think that the lack of a slant to the right like most mice have these days allows for the additional space on the right, and fuller feel in the hand.

The mouse feels very stable with its weight distribution, and not too heavy, unlike the G400S (which feels heavier than it should due to being less grippable) and the G502. The mouse wheel is solid, and not loud or cheap feeling. The rubber texture on it is pretty nice to the touch, though I just worry it'll attract dirt in the future, but that will remain to be seen. There is tons of space laterally on the mouse, so my fingers don't feel restricted in terms of where they have to rest, unlike with narrower mice like the G502.

I haven't been able to try the mouse out fully yet, due to still being at work, but yeah, I might update this post later with gaming/sensor performance impressions in contrast to the mice I'm used to, namely the G403, G502, and FK1+.

But yeah, definitely chuffed!

Glad to hear about your positive initial impressions and your chuffie.

Is this EMP any good for dry hands? the old soft touch coating was a disaster to grip for me.
