Like i promised, here are some first day impressions (i will keep it short, just ask if you want to know something or get other pictures).

Most of the mice i used at least a few days in the past:
MX500, MX518, G9, KPM, G303, G402, G502, G403 wired, G403 wireless, G900, ZA12, ZA11, FK1, FK1+, EC1A, EC2A, G102, G Pro, DAC, DAE, DA3.5G, Revel, DM1 Pro S

Mice i have here atm (if you want pictures to compare):

G102, G403 wired (and modded), G900, DA3.5G, G9

Some pictures:

From left to right:
G102, G403, EMP, DA3.5g, G900

DA3.5G:

G900

modded G403:

G102:

My first impressions (it's exactly the brick of a mouse you think it is):

+ buildquality (NO RATTLE i repeat NO RATTLE) [think it's the first mouse without rattle in like two years for me]
+ shape and size (got 19/10 - 19,5/10,5 cm Mousehand and use palm / claw hybrid grip)
+ coating (had a KPM in the past, but sold it so i can't compare them directly, but i think the EMP coating is at least as good as the KPM one)
+ clicks (crisp with little pretravel on all buttons)
+ scrollwheel (i nearly forgot how good Roccats Titan Wheels are)
+ M3 is light to press (about the same as on my DA3.5G)

/ M1 and M2 are the loudest clicks i ever heard
/ the cable is thick and heavy but very flexible (like the current logitech cable but without the 10g stress relief) [it's neutral for me because with the weight of the mouse the cable doesn't rly matter LUL]
/ software (i only used it to set everything up, then got rid of it, but it was responsive and nice looking)
/ mousefeet (a lot better than the current logitech ones but ofc no hyperglides)

- weight

If this thing would weight about 20g less i would probably get a paracord and hyperglides and would have my FINALMOUSE (pun intended).
Well atm it's all just first day impressions. Will use it exclusivly the next few days and then start comparing it directly to other mice.

i doubt i'm liking it being a heavy click but I guess it's personal preference and heavy clicks are not all THAT bad

If you are referring to the design of the light pipes: The Kone was our first mouse in 2007 and the design didn't change much since then.

Glad the wheel design changed. My original Kone wheel broke within a week and I had to mod an ikari wheel into it. Even had a how to giude posted on your site.

Also what happened to the plastic credit cards with a 1337 number on them?

Other than the weight, which is up to preference. I wish the m1/m2 buttons were separated from the shell

The card was scraped but you can still get the discount if you create an account on our website and register one of your ROCCAT products.

Are the clicks about the same as a G403?

When trying one it bothered me to some extend. (that edge where the right side goes inward.)

I didn't like the G403.
And now can't decide between a EC1a or Kone EMP
The edge you mentioned bothered me a bit on the KPM, because the mouse was just to little for me. On the EMP i love it, it fits my grip perfectly, but as i already mentioned i claw my ringfinger and pinky while palming with the rest. That's why i love the right side.

I used this brick about 6h in OW today and i still like it. But as i thought the weight really got the better of me after this time...

The clicks on my EMP are a tiny bit stiffer than on my G403.
