Q1: What do you think was the best shape for gaming mouse released in 2016?
A1: I presume you're looking for inspiration for your next mouse in that case I would say 2016 shape wise is not a great year, though for 2016 off course it would be G pro and g403(minus the sensor angling). If you want a popular shape that went wrong I would suggest the rival 100 form steel series with good switches and a 3360 it would be very popular.

Q2: How many mouse buttons do you use while playing your favorite game (please list your favorite game and mouse buttons you use along with their functions)?
A2: Just mouse 1 and 2, I play star craft and some fps like battlefield, more than enough on the keyboard.

Q3: What sensor would you like to put in your perfect mouse? (The ones that are already on the market)
A3: For a premium mouse 3360 for sure, for a budget stay clear of the 3320, optimally a 3310 or 3090. I think manufacturers really need to make sure they use low latency sensors which has not been my experience with the 3320. The 3090 whilst old the only problem is the lift of distance for me which is why off course something along the lines of a 3330 would be optimal, 3360 and variants feel so good to use.

Q4: Does additional software for mouse is a must in your opinion?
A4: With a 3360 and modern sensors not taking advantage of custom dpi in increments of 50 would be silly so off course just basic software for editing and saving dpi and polling rate is necessary.

Q5: If you could choose cable for mouse what would it be?
A5: I make my own paracord similar to Ceesas as you've proably seen in the forums, i have no idea what the requirements for a cable are before it can be sold in a market safety wise but i would say the best would be
1.thin
2.light ,this is most important 20 grams or under imo for a 2 metre cable.
3.flexible, personally flexibility is nice but is over rated compared to weight often times.
Whilst i use paracord I would suggest no braiding and instead a smooth rubber or plastic as any type of braiding rubs on cloth mouse pads creating friction.
EDIT: lmao it's over but take this advice any way thumb.gif

Answer to our five questions:
Q1: What do you think was the best shape for gaming mouse released in 2016?
Razor Death Adder Elite

Q2: How many mouse buttons do you use while playing your favorite game (please list your favorite game and mouse buttons you use along with their functions)?
Using a Zowie EC-2 with a crappy scroll wheel. (5 button mouse).
Starcraft 2:
1) Select unit
2) Issue Order
Middle mouse click - 3) Not used
4) Control group 10
5) Cycle unit selected (default tab).

League of Legends
1) Select unit
2) issue order
Mouse scroll wheel - 3) not used
4) Item 6 (fast click items like Quicksilver sash),
5) Trinket

FPS
1) Shoot
2) Sight aim
Mouse scroll) cycle weapons (often use keyboard instead)
4) Melee attack
5) Grenade.

I'd probably use the mouse wheel a lot more if mine didn't suck. I find pressing it tends to put more strain on my hand and shortens the amount of time I can play before my repetitive wrist strain starts to get the better of me.

Q3: What sensor would you like to put in your perfect mouse? (The ones that are already on the market)
Optical 3360.

Q4: Does additional software for mouse is a must in your opinion?
Avoid additional software if at all possible. It's one of the biggest reasons I don't use a Razer mouse. Software that tries to phone home is a big turn off.

Q5: If you could choose cable for mouse what would it be?
Plastic non-braided. Braided only seems to make the cord thicker often resulting in less bend. The spots that do bend tend to develop shorts faster. Braided also frays the edge of cloth mouse pads.

Additional thoughts:
The Zowie EC1-A would probably be my next mouse if they would use better switches and fix the scroll wheel. My Zowie EC-2 button 5 is starting to double click on every press and the scroll wheel is non-response at times. I can live with a crappy scroll wheel, but the button switches are a deal breaker. Razor Death Adder Elite has a braided cord and uses Razer synapse (deal breaker). I'd also a prefer a mouse that doesn't have additional lights on it. I spend my time looking at the screen and everything else just adds weight.

Question - What switches are you using for the side buttons?

Q3: What sensor would you like to put in your perfect mouse? (The ones that are already on the market)
3366

Rubber
