Depleted uranium is 2x heavier than lead, so its really really heavy metal.

Even its minerals which occurs naturally are slightly radioactive. Depleted variant means that the isotope used in nuclear powerplants have been extracted and only "more common" uranium remains. Even in this state is delpleted uranium slightly radioactive and its not being used for any purpose - except the anti-tank ammo.

Some guy in my country had a habit to visit army training site, collect the empty shells from such ammo, and he planned to sell them as a scrap metal. He got slightly irradiated because he stockpiled that next to his house for few months biggrin.gif

Such mouse would be a great thing to get cancer from playing ;D
