AGON AG352UCG - 35 inch 1440p 100hz VA G-sync ultrawide

Pretty sure this one deserves its own thread.

http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/aoc-launches-35-inch-219-agon-ag352ucg-gsync-monitor.html

It finally happened, I guess. a G-sync monitor that's cheaper than Freesync rival (the CF791), at least in my country. And miles below the price of HP Omen X 35

Expected price is 799 GBP in Europe, not sure about the US price. Polish price is expected to be 3899 PLN, which is less than CF791's cost here (4500-4800 PLN), albeit it's hard to say whether the shops will actually sell it for that price.

It's a VA, but the static contrast is worse than typical modern VA (2000:1). It's said to be a 35 inch screen though, so it's an inch bigger than CF791 or X34.

It also comes with less curvature than CF791, at 2000R, compared to 1500R of CF791 it's significantly less curved, which I personally like, as I prefer flat panels over curved due to more true image without distortions.

The stand is confirmed to swivel, which is a nice bonus.
The "10yo gamer" LED stuff can be disabled.

Anyone hyped ? smile.gif

I would be, but its predecessor makes me feel like it won't be THAT great.

As always, guess time will tell.

You mean the U3477PQU? yeah, not a big success with 35ms input lag and crap color accuracy.

1st Samsung ultrawide kinda sucked too... so maybe AOC also got their **** straight.

No, i meant the panel used in the likes of the Z35, 21:9 1080p 200 Hz. Looked good on paper, but the transitions were kind of bad.

I didn't hear anything about this monitor at CES so I thought the HP Omen would be the only one of its kind (QHD ultrawide gsync VA). Ugh the wait is killing me I was ready to just buy a damn Samsung CF791.

When is the Agon to be released in the USA? Price?

Every 35" Ultrawide is going to be using the same panel.

So, yes.

3900PLN is still hell of a price. The design is pretty tacky as well, does not come close to the ROG PG34. Well, it's the panel quality that matters anyway.

5000PLN IPS goodness lachen.gif

Waiting since November and I have no external monitor atm, only 13" laptop...
