it definitively is priced fairly compared to the Asus/Acer stuff, but this time, (IMHO), the quality is just not there.

It is pretty competitive. If they made a free-sync version, and didn't charge the $150 that g-sync costs they'd have a winner for sure. 3440X1440 100Hz VA for $700?

A lot of people complain about the price of monitors now, but most of that cost is going to Nvidia now, who honestly is double dipping their hand in pockets charging for video cards, and displays.

The price is an indication that we're getting to the end of the technology's capabilities. LCD sucks, so all those expensive techs like FALD to cover it up start racking up the price to ridiculous levels.

G-sync is actually much more than a simple frame rate controller, it's a quite impressive piece of technology that can directly manage everything the monitor does. Im not defending the price, I think it's too high (should be half of what it is), but it's definitively more than a simple Freesync that should indeed be free.

I can buy matt black film for that $9 for black opaque vinyl 1ftx60in and even have enough to do the silver back wings if I dont like those either, the stand takes up too much room on my desk... I can buy a desktop mount for $50-75 that will support this and be a very clean look. So in all including shipping O can save $350+tax compared to the Omen and get the same panel.... Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

That was my thoughts for going with this monitor, for me I don't mind the bezel or the stand and the back of the monitor is facing a wall so it doesn't bother me either. For the $$$ it was a hands down winner.

How's ghosting and blurring in games that are locked to 60 or even 30fps?

Also for another post, a little gripe is I went to put the monitor on a stand and for some reason AOC put a raised square in the plastic that sits under where the VESA mount/adapter would be. Pretty much where the stand connects to the monitor, which makes it impossible to mount a perfectly flat adapter to the back of the monitor. Only work around I see is using some form of a nylon spacer/s.

Doesn't turn on. Sometimes turns on with no image. When I got an image it was all messed up jumping around the screen with lines everywhere. Microcenter is sending me a new one.
