AGON AG352UCG - 35 inch 1440p 100hz VA G-sync ultrawide - Page 55

I live in a rural location in Australia. Item would have to be delivered and returns on such a large item would generally be at my own expense regardless of the reason for return.

We have some fairly reasonable consumer protections here but they do not make things as easy as they do in the states, unless you are lucky enough to buy from a bricks and mortar store that you can easily get back to.

Bandario i sooo feel your pain in the exact same boat , the distances we gotta deal with etc. Was going to drop the cash on a X34 over Easter when they where on special but decided to wait for this monitor. The more i read the less sure i am its a good buy.

I know, right! I missed all those sales on the X34 too.

Having read enough on here about the X34, the extent of the panel lottery with these screens makes me very very nervous indeed but the colour and image quality on these things is exactly what I'm looking for when they're working correctly. Also the fact that you are constantly pushing this thing with OC to 100hz makes me worry a bit - I would rather a native 100hz panel.

The pictures posted in this thread of the AG353UCG at angles even slightly off-centre though make me want to run for the hills.

The Agon is a budget friendly, TN-like panel that's a great way for those who want a big ultrawide, but don't want to drop 1300$ on the QC-unfriendly X34.

If your priority is pretty image, don't get it. It's not pretty. It looks undersaturated / washed out, and the color shifting is severe.

In Australia, the X34 and the AOC AGON 35 are almost exactly the same price, and the AOC has an uncertain arrival date. Looks like I am playing Panel lottery.

That's why CS Source works so bad on the X35 Omen monitor. I wondered why the X34A is so good compared with the Omen X 35 (AG352UCG has the same panel). Tft central measured 5.63 ms inputlag and prad says 25.6 ms inputlag. 25.6 ms inputlag looks much more reproducible.

I just spoke to Amazon UK and they advised at least by AG352UCG would be dispatched in 3-4 days, in case any other pre-orders are wondering.........

After much internal debate, pre-ordered the AG352UCG... £719 for 35" 100hz Gsync is just too good a price to pass on. £200 cheaper than the x34 which may only provide a 60hz experience.

The X34 has fantastic image quality, tho. AG352UCG is more like a TN.
