Ah. When you said you ran a more aggressive fan curve, I assumed air. I looked into your BIOS and it's been mentioned many times that it does make air-cooled card run ~10C hotter.

I wonder if I should settle for buying a block for this 1080 or just sell it + this extra i7 chip I have lying here and get a 1080TI... thinking.gif Not a bad problem to have, I guess...

I read a bit about the Dancop XOC BIOS, but I think it's pegged @ 1.24V. It allows Power up to 345W. Do you know your max Power? What temps are you seeing when running @ 2202MHz?

Do you know of anyone who has used this BIOS on an MSI card? Where can I read more about this BIOS? I'm interested now in flashing it.

Can you show me that curve?

Here is my curve :

To obtain it (BIOS ASUS Strix OC t4)
First step : +200MHz as offset on GPU Core in MSI AB
Second step : Tweaking of the curve to have 2202MHz between 1.1V and 1.2V

With this => Furmark bench 1 minute 1080FHD preset => "0" value for all parameters you mention in blue line, so nothing holding me back.

Now, if I add 240MHz for example instead of 200MHz by keeping same tweaking of 2202MHz between 1.1V and 1.2V, Furmark crashes afetr 50seconds, but, I still have "0" for values in blue line, so nothing holding me back there also....

Conclusion : Silicon lottery holds me back, not power limitation rolleyes.gif

I agree. The card is simply not able to perform at that level. puke.gif
