So DS comes to an end with this last dlc. A bittersweet moment for myself and a final farewell to an unbelievable series.

I felt it was pretty equivalent to the second game's DLC, especially the short bit. Artorias of the Abyss was near perfect for the first game and so far none of the other DLC to come out for Souls games has held a candle to it. But I'm a sucker for their shtick and I'll buy the next one anyway.

I really hope From decides to make more games in the future. This series has been by far my favorite game series in the past 10 years. Dear Sony throw money at From Software to make a Bloodborne 2.

A bit short, but most disappointing were the bosses (with the exception of a certain part of one of the boss fights).
I liked how the first DLC gave lots of open areas, which felt really refreshing after generally linear and claustrophobic castles/catacombs/cathedrals of vanilla DS3

Good...hopefully Fromsoft go back to their roots and make a new Tenchu game, need a successor to Tenchu Z!

For whatever reason From hasnt been consistent in their dlc's. I would've loved a trilogy as well.

Shame it's going to be the last one , although it would be nice to actually find out what it all meant. Not sure fromsoft will be able to tie up all the loose ends
Another reason i go back to the series, the story itself is like a detective story. The new dlc should answer some questions and expand more of the overall story, but knowing From, it asks more questions then it answers.

It's up to Sony for those games as they own the IP rather than fromsoft

This won't be the last one.

Miyazaki is just pulling out a kojima move.

Remember when kojima said there will be no more metal gear solid, After mgs 2? and then 3 comes out and he says. No more mgs games. And another 4 comes out. And he repeats it's the final one and then years later another V comes out and he says it's the final one..

So probably miyazaki is just pulling out a kojima move on us.

There's a re-release of the game planned after March including the two DLCs. Its the last one.

Maybe the DLC made it a bit better but it was definitely no Demon Souls/Dark Souls I.

We need another mech-game from FROMSOFT, like Armored Core.
Souls games are played out.
If I remember correctly, Miyazaki made a statement about wanting his next game to have a space theme. Didn't say much else.

DS1 > DS3 > Bloodborne > DS2 > Demon Souls
Imho

Nothing beats DS1. Been so long since Ive played that game that Im thinking about doing a 2nd run.

It was only a matter of time, the Japanese are running out of 'material'...space was the only logical step, being the next frontier and all.

Also, I would be running to the hills whilst laughing, nervously at that.

Except From has stated that DS3 is the last Dark Souls game.

Nothing is stopping them from continuing to make similar games, like Bloodborne, but the Dark Souls series is finished.

That statement doesn't have any meaning, because they can always change their minds (presuming the "last game" statement is not merely a marketing ploy in the first place, which it may well be) at any time and start making more.

Alternatively, another developer could take over the IP and start making more.

I'm already playing DS3(tho I've seen a ton of lore and gameplay videos lol),and I feel that I kinda want a next ds game and don't want one at the same time , to tell the truth..
I think that if this is in fact the last game in the series , it is adequate for being the end(depending of course on the content of the last dlc) , meaning that if we get some answers in some Lore matters and an Artorias of the Abyss-like content dlc , I for one , will be satisfied..One next game may be stretching it too far..

Knowing FROM tho, there will be a lot more questions than answers most probably, lol

Also,I don't know why , but I trust that Miyazaki will stay true to his word and end the series here...
