Ok your right the fury has excellent performance per watt.

The Asus is pretty good. I have it at home. Speakers great. Qi great. Monitor itself works good also freesync, only is no height adjusting

I will be on a fury too with the asus, Except some bricks it will hold well enough until vega will hit the market...paired with a 8350@4,6 I see under 400w average on gaming with a little oc on fury so it is ok power consumption, consoles are better though eheheh

How do you activate freesync guys ?

I have an RX 480
Using DisplayPort cable included
Monitor set on DP 1.2
AMD driver up to date and Freesync ON (it shows 48-100hz)
Monitor set to 100Hz on windows.

And freesync don't work, I have tearing on AMD windmill demo. What I'm missing ?

I would assume you have it turned on in the monitor settings? I think you don't have the option to turn on in drivers without it, but it's worth a check. At least not on the microboard.

Do you have tearing when playing a game?

Finally it works, simply disable and enable again freesync in AMD driver make the freesync worked, strange but I'v always trouble to enable freesync first time on my new monitors...

But I got a lot of flickering in AMD windmill demo like CF791

Anyone try the monitor with a MacBook Pro ? I find the text blurry
post #378 of 423
I've been debating between the MX34VQ and the Samsung CF791.
I would never use the iQ charger, I am liking the deeper curve of the CF791, and the CF791 also has a good mounting option.
A little more $$ but you also get this Quantum Dot.

I had two Microboards but one had dead pixels and the other had a major color issue.
Probably going to try the CF791 now.

I use the qi all the time and the curve is the same, cant tell difference.. And the quantum Dot is not doing anything.. Read the pcmonitors.info review of the cf791 and mx34vq, the cf791 has flickering and. Much input lag.

The lag difference isn't justifiable to make any real world difference in gaming for me.
The curves are different and flicking is only with FreeSync - which I have a Nvidia card.

pcmonitors.info also has the CF791 on their recommended page over the MX34VQ
