Yeah that's a top-of-the-line IPS panel. Best of the best.

Yep saw some photos and looks great color wise and font clarity but I wanted high refresh rate and wider fs range for the gaming rig

If disappointed by something I will revert back to the lg

Well well well

The shop i ordered (and paid) has removed the asus from the availability and is not anymore orderable so I expect that my order will be cancelled and me refunded (at least that's what I hope).

Other shop has it but for 950€ is a big no no so I'll wait in the shadows stick to my 2010 ips fhd

Difficult to say since other shops seems have it in their listing....easy that they just made a mistake pricing it and make this move in danage control...so i'm lurking the deep web for a good price (800-850€)

Just got mine half an hour ago. Impressed so far: not noticing the extra 40HZ yet but the white uniformity is much better than the Acer 144hz IPS I tested a year ago though it's not perfect. No dead pixels.

Are there any recommended ICC profiles or at least monitor settings available yet? I searched the thread but couldn't find anything. If the Microboard monitor has the same panel, ICC profiles for that one should work for the MX34VQ as well right?

Second impression is not so good. 21:9 and curve is really, really nice for immersion when gaming and movies, but I'm disliking the curve for productivity... it feels like text on the left side (where most of what I read end up) is slanted downwards, and I'm definitely having some depth perception issues. Maybe it's just that I'm sitting pretty close to the monitor (small desk), but I think I'm going to have to consider exchanging it for a 27 inch.

you can get used of that effect but it will never get better for productivity, even with gaming i need to sit very relaxed in my chair so my distance is good eneough to gasp all the picture at once! i sit about a whole shoulder to finger tip distance away.

there comes the curvature in handy
