AMD X6 BATTLE ROYALE !!!!
The format for this particular competition will be a little different than those of the past. Yes there will be recognition for the best score in the individual benchmarks, but the participant's score will earn them a "virtual playing card" . The best score will garner an ACE followed by K,Q,J,10,9,8,7 etc.
There will be 5 benchmarks for the main part of the competition. In an effort to make things more interesting, there will be an additional 2 benchmarks where the top scorer will earn themselves a wild card ( joker of course!) - which they can use to make the best possible poker hand at the end of the competition.
Legal cpus - any AMD native six core cpu or AMD cpu that unlocks to the X6 ( such as the 960 T )
Please choose to compete with either an AM3 or an AM3+ cpu and make all submissions for this competition using a chip from that socket .
CPU's with disabled cores are not legal for this competition.
Cooling limitations - no extreme cooling please ( friendly competition - please honor this )
Air and liquid cooling taking advantage of winter ambients is legal however.
Submission requirements : Screenshot of the completed benchmark score with Cpu-z cpu, memory and spd tabs open.
Must use this competition background :

Here are the five benchmarks that will be used to build your poker hand. How well you score will determine your "draw"
Superpi 1 M
Wprime 1.55 32M
Cinebench R15 Multicore score
Hwbotprime
HWBOT x265 Benchmark - 1080p
Submissions should have a header formatted like so : CSSORKINMAN AM3 Wprime 32M 6.87 seconds 960T 4532 mhz
It will help me keep track of scores easier.... and making things easier for cssorkinman is what life is all about
All benchmarks will be ran with 6 cores active.
All benchmarks used in this part of the competition will be the current ones being used by HWBOT and can be downloaded here:
http://hwbot.org/benchmarks/processor
EDIT :
Benching will be restricted to only Windows OS's , however If it is brought to my attention that the benches chosen can be manipulated under a certain version - I'll reserve the privilege to make appropriate changes.
Wild card benches :TBD - announced mid - competition.
I will be playing as" the house" and will build my hand from a separate deck - for example if my score is better than everyone else's I'll get an ace , as will the player with the best score among the other competitors. No wild cards for me however.
Beating the house is a good thing
All competitors will have their user name placed in a random drawing for a prize from my hardware stash - GOOD LUCK!
( if the winner lives outside the US, it may be impractical for me to award prizes to them - I'll try to make something work in that event )
If there are any issues or questions, please let me know
Competition ends 10 pm Central time Sunday February 26th 2017
Competition starts..... NOW!
