I just uninstalled then reinstalled twice. I tried to update driver but said it was usuing most current one. I did uninstall and reinstall nvidia drivers as well. Should have wrote that clearer.

It had found my icc profile quite easily thought I would have to find it myself but it had it on list.

I'll have to try this when I get home. I've tried unplugging and plugging back in, but it didn't do anything different.

Who all has returned this monitor and which monitor did you buy instead?

Unfortunately mine is going back. Love it, but the flickering I know would urk me. Honestly didn't see during gaming just main menus. As far as what I got instead nothing. Interested in the 4K 144 that are coming out. And there has to be some more 100Hz 3440x1440 curved coming out by end of year. I will surely miss the gsync and 100hz redface.gif

I'm probably going to try out the upcoming X34P, or the 4K HDR. In the meantime I'm just using one of the Dell U2715h I got for cheap around black Friday for my company.

Thinking of getting this monitor to hold me over until the Asus/Acer 4k 144hz HDR monitors hit the end of this year. I have a bunch of random BB gift cards I need to use. I currently have a PG278Q Which I think I will hold onto and use along side this as a backup monitor for certain games, and plus its 144hz vs 100hz for the UW. Did any of you come from a Gsync 144hz notice any difference going down to 100hz? I play a WIDE range of games from FPS (BF1, Overwatch), Driving Games (Forza Horizon, Need for Speed, Project Cars), MMO (FFXIV), and others like Action Adventure, RPG, Open World, Sports games. So I think its best to have a standard 16:9 as a backup. Also play old school games, which I would think don't work well with UW.

As for upcoming Gsync UW monitors, All I have seen is the X34P which keeps getting delayed, and now is the end of Q2/Q3 time frame. I have heard people guessing that the reason it was getting delayed was it might switch to a Samsung VA panel from IPS, which I would be all over if they did. The only other maybe UW I have seen been talked about is maybe a Gsync version of the CF791 monitor, but that is just speculation.

Finally got the ICC profile working (still doesn't show up as an OMEN X 35 in the dropdown, but I'm not worried about that) and you're right: it makes a HUGE difference. Still not sure on the G-Sync flicker though. I'm starting to lean towards the driver being the issue. I'm betting that it is a calculation error as a lot of people with the 35" monitors (not just the HP) are complaining about the same thing. Don't hear much on the 34" which tells me that it is [likely] related to the driver...

That OMEN X ICC profile...wow
