Yeah, viewing angles are only "good" with my small camera lamp that I put on a tripod behind me on top, haha smile.gif Then the image quality also get a very noticeable improvement, especially the va glow (silver shine) is close to eliminated. But in a dark room it's to much frown.gif

Where did you had flickering? In a special game or just eveywhere?

Usually loading screens or post match score menus

So tempting...

That's why CS Source works so bad on the X35 Omen.

I wondered why the X34A is so good compared with the Omen X 35 (AG352UCG has the same panel). Tft central measured 5.63 ms inputlag and prad says 25.6 ms inputlag. 25.6 ms inputlag looks much more reproducible.

This sentence in the conclusion is very remarkable:

Das bessert sich zwar bei vollem Overdrive und 100 Hz, doch dann wird man mit starken Bildfehlern konfrontiert, die aber letztendlich das geringere Übel darstellen.

You will get heavy artefacts @ 100 hz.

They mean maybe the artefacts you see in the ufo tests and the bright shine arround weapons in cs source biggrin.gif.

Much more outweighing is the total lag of 27.9 ms. Such lag is unacceptable for players of first person shooters and will frighten them.

Over two frames of input lag for a GSync monitor? I don't know, there seems to be something wrong. This is hardly imaginable. Especially since tft central measured normal values.
Also, I can't find a declaration how they measured input lag. Because of the difficulties measuring input lag, a declaration is much needed.

well no. They claim the display has a latency of 25ms, but what is exactly is latency and how did they measure it. If the signal processing of the monitor is super slow, what I don't expect it to be, it is a problem produced by the electronics and could be totally different to the omen.

Edit: They should use the same metrology technique, I wrote them a message how they explain the difference.

Usually a price drop that big means they're clearing out stock for a specific reason. I wouldn't jump on that so fast.

Looking at their reviews of 38UC99 there's a similar disparity in input lag but the other way around: TFTCentral has it at 24.7 ms while Prad says 8.3 ms so there's clearly some disparity in how they do things.
