There's absolutely no other place you can go both on the internet (or in person) that will give you as much of a detailed and professional review than them. Even Callsign_Vega (on this forum and many others) recently said this is the best gaming monitor on the market right now and that's a dude who buys every single gaming/immersion monitor every single time they come out so that's what finally drove me to buying one.

I got my Omen the other day but can't test it until a few more computer parts come in. So far so good with no stuck blue, green, or pink pixels which is my #1 reason why I would return any monitor. I don't know if i'll like this monitor. I'm coming from a 40" Semi-Glossy 4k VA 60hz display down to a 35" matte 1440p VA 100hz Gsync display. I'm more of an "immersion" gamer which is why I've always gone with big and glossy displays in the past but I really wanted to try something higher than 60hz and Gsync for the first time in my life to see if all the hype lives up to its name.

Ha I'm no one but said same thing. this was best monitor out at the moment. Love mine. only negative is playing ps4 on it with sides blacked out and no speakers. I also came from 60Hz VA your gonna love this badboy. I get the whole acer asus thing but as mentioned way back they are old, not native and something to me that looks like it belongs in my sons room not on my desk. which is weird cuz my computer is lit with rgb lol. end of day all preference of each individual. wonder how the tft fan boys who were bashing this feel now... flip flop flippity flip flop helpinghand.gif

Pointing out and discussing the flaws of this monitor is not whining. It is being objective. No monitor is perfect and the Omen's competition have their own flaws themselves.

I myself am returning this monitor for its flaws. For something this expensive I have to love it.

Returned mine to Best Buy as well. After going back and price matching--literally--three times I decided that even at $960, the beautiful design and immersive size weren't enough to make me feel comfortable having paid as much as I did for such obvious issues. The biggest issue occurred when I started getting some flickering in PU Battlegrounds (likely due to FPS drops, but still). I decided I'd rather return and wait another 3-5 months to see what's out there. In the meantime, I replaced my Omen with an x34 (I'm an Elite member so I 45 days to return it, which I intend to do 100%). I've only had the x34 up and running for a couple hours, but it's crazy how much 1" can make. This really feels small compared to the Omen.

That last reason is exactly why I'm holding onto my Omen for the next 30 days. If something gets announced I might consider sending it back.

Computex starts in 34 days though.

True... I'll probably keep this one anyways. If a new monitor comes out that I really want I'll use this one for something else. wink.gif

AOC releases AG322QCX WQHD 144Hz VA Monitor. I have a feeling theres gonna be some good monitors releasing soon. not a fan of AOC looks but specs are heading in right direction.

Philips also announced a display (328M6FJMB) with 120% sRGB and Ambiglow system, otherwise same specs as the AOC

size makes a difference. I wouldn't get anything less than 34" and now that I have my 35" monitor I'm going to have a hard time going smaller...

I legitimately think the main difference you're feeling between the 34 inch panels and the Omen is the curvature. The more intense curve makes it feel more like the Omen is reaching out to hug you. Or smother you. Either way it makes it feel much larger than it is because of how much closer it gets to you.
