Here is my build log for a new media center pc I am putting together. I have 3D printed the entire case in an mITX form factor and will be using relatively median parts to make a decent media center for my living room.
I started with the 3D printing process of course. After many hours and many attempts to come out with a perfect (mostly) looking part, here are the results of the case. Sexy eh? Click for Photos! (Click to show)
I did not design the case, however I did modify it. All parts are printed in ABS. The lighter shade of black is standard ABS and the darker black is a Premium ABS. I found it provided a very nice accent. In the center is the power button, which will have a white ring around it.
Inside you'll see a lowered tray for the ssd to hide under the motherboard, the connection for the power supply, and motherboard mounts. Those will change as I wont need that much screw protruding upwards.
Inside will be the following:
CPU: AMD A10-7700K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard: ASRock FM2A78M-ITX+ Mini ITX FM2+ Motherboard
Cooler: Scythe SCKZT-1000 24.8 CFM CPU Cooler
Ram: 2x4GB PC3-12800U - nothing special lol
Storage: Samsung SSD
Power Supply: picoPSU-160-XT + 192W Adapter Power Kit
Parts will be arriving soon and building will commence. photos to follow!
Let me know what you think so far!
