End-of-life for binned Haswell, Skylake, and Broadwell-E CPUs.

This is just a formal end-of-life post in regards to these processors. We are tearing down our Z97 and X99 test benches this weekend to make room for upcoming products.

  • Haswell: Lived a long life. We still have a few 4790Ks up for sale on the site, but we will not be binning any more. Sales have finally slowed down. Once we run out of inventory, that will be it.
  • Broadwell-E: Sales have slowed down considerably the last couple months, to the point where there isn't much point for us to continue carrying them. We put the remainder of what we had on sale earlier this month and will not be binning more. Funds will be moved toward other upcoming processors.
  • Skylake: Effectively replaced by Kaby Lake.

That makes good economic practical sense. More investment and focus on the new CPU's is sound. I'm looking for an excuse to make a new SL build in the future. It's just my SL 4790K is still working great....after two years. smile.gif Best of Luck to SL in 2017 thumb.gif

One can hope. Not likely though.

What is the chipset for Skylake-E going to be called anyhow? X299?

this is kind of sad was hoping for atleast a round of 5820k's before you moved on since that is the most popular haswell binned, well good luck on your venture and thanks for your hard efforts on keeping the community content with some fire chips.

Well this is a shame.. I was counting on you guys for a 4.4ghz 6800k out of my tax return, at less than the retail cost of these chips.. but I was in a group the IRS delayed...
