corsair rm850x 850w power supply
the corsair manual shows which cords i have, but i'm not sure which cord i should plug into the Eatx12v port. i tried looking for more info but to no results
which cord, that comes with the corsair rm850x 850w should be connected to the EATX12v port?
the one marked cpu looks like it would fit, i tried it, and. one end has two clips on it, the other end has one clip. both sort of fit into the port, yet the individual shapes on the cord's 8pin are in a different pattern than the motherboard itself.
are the individual shapes supposed to babe exactly the same on the cpu cord?
Its EPS not EPA and its the same cable as the one marked CPU, some brands just called it EPS while others called it CPU
And its the end that splits you plug into the motherboard.
the corsair power supply that i have came with only two cords that look like thaey may fit, and that's the cpu cord that you mentioned, and the pci-e cord. the pci-e cord is the only one in the box that splits apart. i'll try to get some pictures of what i'm talking about... in not too good at describing it, sorry
The CPU is what you need and the PCI-E will NOT fit
Even if it would fit you would fry your PSU and motherboard if you used the PCI-E in the motherboard.
i'll have a couple of pictures up asap, but in the meantime i have another question; the cord that plugs in the EATX12v port is the cpu cord , and that cord is supposed to have some sort of split on the end of it? ( so that you can plug in 4 instead of 6 pins, right?
the pictures above show what i meant better i hope. one shows the port on the mother board, two of he pictures show one and the other end of the cpu cable you mentioned, and the last one shows the pci-e cable that i mentioned having the split in the pins.
also, one end of the cpu cable has two locks on it, while the other end only has one. this is what's confusing me.
The CPU cable end that has two locks on it has two locks because the cable can be split from a single 8 pin cable to two 4 pin cables
The end with the two locks on it is the end that goes into the motherboard, the other end of the cable goes into the PSU
Is english not your first language because i feel like there is language barrier here.
english is my first language. but there is a language barrier my friend. it's called noob vs expert. sorry lol
