Which 24" 1080p 144hz gaming monitor would you recommend?

Basically the title. I would use the monitor mainly for gaming/movies/surfing. I can get about 150-160fps on the games I play, so 144hz is the most I would need I assume. I always play FPS unlocked though. Gaming is top priority, but good image quality and colours would be a big plus. I have an Nvidia gfx card, but I don't need G-SYNC. Maximum price would be about ~700 Euros / 740 US Dollars.

I've tried BenQ XL2411Z (currently using) and ASUS VG248QE. I liked both, but I am looking for something better.

The dispalys that have been recommended for now: Samsung C24FG70, BenQ Zowie XL2540 (currently on sale for 329 Euros) and ASUS MG248Q (currently on sale for 320 Euros). However I get very varying opinions on all of these screens.

Thanks for any help in advance.

I would say no one really needs G-SYNC or FreeSync, but once you experience it you won't want to play your games without it, especially if you would otherwise be using V-SYNC. There's much less input lag with G-SYNC and FreeSync than there is with V-SYNC (it's a big difference).

So if you want to try a good G-SYNC monitor, then I can confidently recommend in good conscience the same monitor that I have: the AOC G2460PG. I tried the Acer XB241H and the ASUS PG248Q, and I like the G2460PG the most. I don't know how much it would cost you in Euros though, but here in the States it is always less than $500, and often goes on sale at around $350.

Out of the box, I didn't need to do much at all to get better color accuracy; it was excellent, especially for a TN panel.

The Samsung isn't on there but its the best choice if you want the best possible picture as the TNs just can't compete.
What are the cons of choosing the Samsung VA display instead of the TN ones listed?

How is Dell S2417DG? It's the same price as the Samsung where I live. I am planning on staying with Nvidia so I guess I could try out G-Sync

Bought the Samsung and have to say I am very disappointed. It has gotten very good reviews, but I got massive tearing/stuttering or whatever in motion. Doesn't matter what FPS I get, the stuttering is a lot worse than on 60FPS with my XL2411Z.
