@4k Ultra this still isn't playable with 1 card... :-(

@1440p however, that's a different story.

I had someone make fun of me for buying a 1080 Ti to play at 1440p yesterday. Apparently I should be playing at 4K and I'm dumb for not doing so! Someone people can be such tools!!!

Both are run at stock:

SLI: 58.21 (Min 40.12, Max 63.63)

What sort of frames is 4k putting you at? Seems to be rock solid at 1440p at ultra which seems about right if its 50 or so fps at 3440 x 1440

Not at all. all depends on optimization I'd say conservatively, 80% of AAA games out now and in the next 1-2 years should run maxed out @ 4k just fine with an OC'd 1080Ti. The other 20% you'll either need to drop to 1440p or go SLi

I think maybe it's just the card breaking it. But so far so good, no issues as of yet.
This could be the case. If the smell went away and the performance is what is expected and nothing else amiss happens, I'd say keep it. Otherwise, if the smell were to continue I'd RMA.

Well, my card hasn't died yet. So so far so good, at least. We'll see how it goes for the rest of the week. tongue.gif

If the smell goes away, then I'd say so. Just keep an eye on it. If you're not comfortable with it, then return/exchange.

My score in heaven is lower than people with similar setups but my card drops to 2025 at 100% fan speed so idk whats wrong. The smell for now seems to be gone, ill test it for a couple days, really wanted to install my hybrid kit frown.gif aha
