It wont, you need more radiator space.

I'll sit this one out then, thanks for your input. In other news, Newegg just delivered my EVGA 1080 Ti! I ordered it within the first 5 minutes on Friday and it didn't ship out until Monday of this week.

I swapped out 970s SLI (+175/+300 mem) for 1080ti w/ txp ek block and my firestrike score went from 18500 to 18900. Yay. CPU is at 3.9 ghz. X58 might be holding me back.

On that note, even three of these cards are not enough to run 4K @ 144Hz since scaling at 4K is not that great (!).

Proof:

Fluctuations between 120 and 144 hz at 4K on a g-sync monitor is plenty fine biggrin.gif

I have the same case. I've had up to 3 cards. I'm currently running a total of 5 Corsair ML Pro 140s, and I have a Kraken x62. 2x 140mm up front, 2x on Kraken x62, and 1x 140mm exhaust.

I know I only have 1 at the moment, but my CPU doesn't break 65c.

Very nice!

Can you please post some pics of the X62 showing the radiator and fan setup? looks like you installed it in the 'front' of the case instead on the top(?). If you install it in the front, is there enough room to install a push/pull config or is that going to be too thick with the GPUs sitting right there?

How do the Corsair ML Pro 140mm fans compare to the Noctua 140mm 3000RPM fans? Are all your Corsair ML Pro fans PWM (4-pin - which means you install only 3 pins for the ones that are not on the radiator/X62)?

Yea I understand - I wish I could just have someone install waterblocks on these cards - I don't have the patience to do water-cooling on my GPUs. I change GPUs so often it doesn't seem worth the effort to me. However, if someone is willing to do it for me, I'll do it. Is there a professional (may be semi-professional) in the bay area who is willing to do a custom water-cooling setup on my rigs? Both my rigs have 4-Way SLI and are air-cooled.

2)how much do you care about noise?

yea, I'm picking up the X62 - I bought the X41 thinking I'll save space but that was not a good idea. Which fans should I get? The Corsair ML Pro 140mm PWM or the Noctua 140mm PWM 3000RPM? I want the best performance - I don't care about noise at all.

1.)
2.) I don't care too much about noise - my rigs are in another room so I enjoy quiet and cool gaming! biggrin.gif

Im coming from 3x 970s @ 1480mhz, havent gotten a chance to bench 3dmark but im crossing my fingers it beats out my 25000 firestrike run. Gaming has been sublime on it though.

Here are the .oem2 files to unlock the voltage slider. Most cards use the first one, EVGA might be the second. Right click file, Properties, Unblock, unzip. In MSI Programs folder replace .oem2 file.

MSIAfterburner.zip 1k .zip file

EVGA.zip 1k .zip file

If these do not work for you, post a screenshot of your Afterburner 'Info' tab and I'll make one if you want. smile.gif

Edit: Only use the voltage slider if you are under water as the card will downclock anyways after you hit 60C and higher. The extra voltage will make ir run a bit hotter I'm sure. redface.gif

X58 must be. I went from GTX 980 Ti OC Hybrids in SLI to a GTX 1080 Ti. Stock out of the box Firestrike for me is 21,269. 980's Ti in SLI is 22,150. Running x99 5930K @4.2GHz. I did an Auto OC tune (yeah I know...) and with the AVX un-checked, it ramped up a 4.5GHz OC on the CPU. So the 1080Ti looks closer in overall, but compare the graphics scores to see where you're at.

The x62 is installed at the top of the case. Plenty of room with the 140mm fans. Before this setup I had a H100i in push/pull running 4x 120mm SP120s and it fit fine.

The ML 140 Pros are all 4 pin PWM. On the Kraken there is a single 4 pin fan extension, the rest are 3 pin. So I just plugged one of the fans on the radiator into the 4 pin, and the other into an available extension (there are 4 total on the x62).

The other ML Pros are all plugged into my motherboard and controlled via Fan Xpert.

I've never used Noctuas so I can't speak on that, but these fans keep my temps cool. And they're black
