Is there a professional (may be semi-professional) in the bay area who is willing to do a custom water-cooling setup on my rigs? Both my rigs have 4-Way SLI and are air-cooled.
yea, I'm picking up the X62 - I bought the X41 thinking I'll save space but that was not a good idea. Which fans should I get? The Corsair ML Pro 140mm PWM or the Noctua 140mm PWM 3000RPM? I want the best performance - I don't care about noise at all.

1.)
2.) I don't care too much about noise - my rigs are in another room so I enjoy quiet and cool gaming! biggrin.gif

Man i wish i weren't on the other coast, that would be a sick hardline loop. I change Gpus once a year - 18 months or so, its not too bad, i drain the loop with the rig on the back panel so the card empties at the connectors then just pull the card out, and hook the new one up. I love my waterloop, 5930k @ 4.8ghz hits about 50c gaming, and my 1080ti without bleeding the system is barely scratching 44c.

You could got with the 24v noctuas, or something from Delta if you really dont care about noise. Both options should give you plenty of CFM but would be insanely loud.

@Baasha

Whatever fans you go with I recommend moving to 3x 120mm intakes in the front (my previous setup) or go to 2x 140mm fans. You need all the air you can get.

I imagine you're leaving tons of performance on the table as is, plus those cards are throttling. I saw it quick with my tri-sli setup, so i know you're running into it. Your setup is really made for water especially with the CPU.

I did an Auto OC tune (yeah I know...) and with the AVX un-checked, it ramped up a 4.5GHz OC on the CPU. So the 1080Ti looks closer in overall, but compare the graphics scores to see where you're at.

I think my physics is around 9500(edit I think it's actually around 12000). Graphics are similar to yours. I'll do some double checking tonight.

I have a few Delta 5000RPM fans - that's too much even for me. LOL.. I think I'll try the 3000RPM Noctua 140mm fans and see.

Yea, I'm definitely going with 2x 140mm for the front - just a question of whether to use the 3000RPM Noctuas or something else.

I in fact have 5 or 6 3000RPM fans from way back when I used to use the Mountain Mods case (was rocking 4x 580 Classified in 4-Way SLI!!):

Those fans are THICK though - so will have to see if they'll fit properly. Anyway, for the Kraken X62, I'm probably going to go with the 3000RPM Noctua 140mm fans and see how they perform.

Regarding the Heatkiller block, so you're saying technically I can mix and match the following on my EVGA 1080 Ti and it will still work?

Link -> Watercool HEATKILLER® IV for TITAN X (Pascal)
Link -> Aquacomputer Backplate for Kryographics Pascal NVIDIA TITAN X, Active XCS

I dont know about the active one since you will need to replace the outlet of the block with the one that comes with it however the passive one (which I got) should work no problems.

Probably has to do with the memory being faster and the larger memory bus, vs with your 980Ti having higher boosts and the benchmarks caring more for that than the card RAM. At least that's what I'd think anyway.

In other news my 1080ti should become an Hybrid this friday! Super excited! thumb.gif
