Side note:

WOW! Mass Effect is DEMANDING!!!! Makes my CPU Run up to 78c!?! and my 1080Ti is artifacting with mem over 400 where it hasn't done that anywhere else card is also getting up to mid 70's with fan set to 100%.

This is all at 4K with the Ultra Preset btw. Really need this card under water to kill the noise and be able to hear my game/get the most performance out of it. On the upside even with some pretty nasty thermal throttling frames stay above 50fps. smile.gif

I have a question for you folks, those of you who bought the founders edition 1080 Ti's. Did they come with the DVI adapter or not? I read that the non reference models will have a dedicated DVI output, is that true? Like the Zotac gtx 1080 Ti that was announced a few days ago. Now Iam looking forward to my Gigabyte GTX 1080 Ti AORUS Xtreme edition even more wink.gif

Iam asking because I have a 3D monitor without a DP input, only DVI-D dual link and Iam not going to change this beauty anytime soon. Recently I played through rise of tomb raider in 3D and it was freaking cool.

It comes with an adapter but mine didnt work, I think the adapter doesnt work for a lot of people. You need an active adapter or whatever and they cost alot. I ended up having to buy a new monitor, sucks but needed to upgrade anyways.

They come with the DP to DVI adapter but it isn't active. It will only work up to 1080p 60hz according to what others have said. If your display is higher than that then you will need one of the active ones that get power from a USB/DC source. Those that people have linked are around $90-$100 USD. Mine is currently attached to my Dell U2312HM which is 1080p 60hz and seems to be working fine.

Oh damn, that's really bad news. So you buy a new graphics card worth 830 euro and you have to buy an active DP to DVI adapter for another 50 euro? That's mad, they should've included an active adapter imo...Now it's even more reasonable to just wait for the non reference models.

Damn, that surely sucks. Not everyone has a new monitor with DP input. Mine is Asus VG278 HR, it's a 144 Hz 3D monitor, Iam glad I didn't buy the founders edition, when I had a chance. I'll gladly wait another month or two before the non reference models that will have the necessary DVI output build in are available to purchase.

So no offsets, and with a higher fan curve it stays around 1822-1860 boost, and 65c through most testing I've done. Fan might be a little high for some, but I cant hear it where my pc sits. Boostspeed.JPG 237k .JPG file

Every unboxing on YT that I have viewed has the adapter.
