NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti Owner's Club - Page 182

What am I doing wrong 3D mark get about 11 Frames a second for a grand total score of 1500 on my 1080 TI , that is less than 1/10 what I'm expecting and is well a serious joke. It also does not exceed 800MHZ on the GPU while running memory is unde 250MHZ during the run it is as if it is simply doing nothing at all. Heaven Benchmark seems fine at 1080P extreme, setting 8x AA also has issues sometimes it is 200 frames and running smoth GPU at 1500 other times it is at 34 frame and GPU is 800 or less, simply put is is also crap. Now CUDA has no issues only Games seem to be an issue, but a major one.

Any ideas, by 1070 was rock solid on the same 7700K at 4.9GHZ with 32GB DDR3200 RAM, 960 EVO drive so it is not like I have a CPU/MEM/Disk issues, it is simply that I can not get the card to work for 3d. CUDA has no issues, only 3D.

Have you tried a fresh install of the drivers?

I just benchmarked my 1080ti stock clocks compared to my old 1080 fe. Did your TI run hotter? Both were on EK water blocks and EKBPs and my 1080 would hit around mid 40's during benchmark. My 1080TI just hit 52C during timestrike benchmark. I even have my side panel off. What temps were you guys getting on water? I have a full custom 720mm loop. Even my idle temps are higher. Idle was 29c-30c. Usually it matches my CPU which is around 26-28c

Damn man. Im hitting 41 degrees max with a +175 OC, only a few degrees higher than at idle. Using the Titan XP EK block and backplate as well.

Might be worth reseating the block, checking for contact etc? ***** of a job, i know, but doesnt sound right at face value.

Yea looks like I will have too. I also used GELID thermal paste that I used when I delidded my 7700k on the IHS/copper block. Now I did the pea size way but not the way they called it out on the instructions from corner to corner and side to side. I also got all thermal pads places correctly.

Damn......

Changed the SLI bridge

I think it looks better than the EVGA one I had on:

The NVIDIA bridge is actually their "4-Slot" bridge, while the EVGA is "2-slot"

Looks great. Probably headed that way too. These fans on idle are bothering me. Not so much when gaming because of everything else going on, but sitting here doing nothing, they're running because of the dumb 120/144hz SLI bug.

yeah, that's what it should say. it's not that. when you installed drivers, did you remove the remnants from the older ones? Did you use DDU and then a clean installation of the newest drivers?

@Existenc- cant do "pea method" on gpus, man!! smear every mm of it!
